are you going to do 1inch cuts and just fold under and secure each "tab"?

Ill cut 2 inches completely off. You can leave tabs like this and bend them up so later on if you decide to go back to stock or a smaller tire you can just get new fender flares.

But it looks like when you fold them up it makes it look a bit funky. Not a big deal if you plan on running the fenders anyways. I will probably do this because I like the look of the thinner fenders. I think i have an idea to make a new fender liner too.

I wanted to pop in and say hi. My lady and I are planning on hitting the COBDR the first half of June. Then continuing on through Devils Tower and such before returning to the east coast. I'm also looking for good hikes in the 4-9 mile range. Lee will be traveling up the eastern part of the state. Is there any good wheeling out that way?

    Here's my truck...

Snowy Range has some really sweet hiking but not sure if it will be snow free in early June. If you like fishing you can hit 10 back country lakes with awesome fishin.

Eastern part of the state i'm not too sure about. I've driven to Sundance once but the majority of that drive is pretty desolate from what i remember. But if you head a bit more west into the middle of the state that's where the mountains are gonna be. The Big Horns are nice, and like Gage said down by Laramie there are nice mountains as well which will probably be your best bet for hiking, scenery, and wheeling.

Good. Gonna run into some struggles down the road when I try to write forms... I may have to bring in a 3rd party form solution. Like when you have a form on your page that lets you submit a question to the site admin or someone.

and how heavy is a 35...? My 31's when i weighed them were like 78 lbs each. So kinda heavy to put under a rack i guess especially up that high... that was my thought so gage didnt have to loose the entire bed space.

The tire itself is 67lbs. So total weight with the F5 is 86 lbs.

Is this what you're talking about?

    http://www.backcountrydiscoveryroutes.com/COBDR

Are you going south to north, all of it? I dont know much about the east part of WY other than there is some great stuff in the bighorns.

Over near me there is this kick ass hike tho, which I have not done yet... it may be totally still snowed in tho when you're here haha.

That looks amazing! Sadly, I don't see us making it that far west. My lady's from a little town near Laramie and my grandmother is in western Nebraska.

That is what I was talking about. Doesn't look like anything challenging, but lots if breathe taking views. As I'll likely be driving solo, I'm looking more for views than challenging terrain this trip

    That would be great!

I know there's a lot of great places to go around Lander, and anywhere on the western side. I used to live in Casper and graduated hs in Riverton. I miss it out there.

yea i bet. Your probably coding well over my head anyways haha

yea 35s weigh a lot. Mine are almost like 100lbs each or so with rims. But i have steel rims..and a bigger tire then gage so im sure his are a bit lighter..but not much.

the east northern part is pretty flat. Lots of bad lands type areas. So basically..find a road..and have fun haha

not a ton of trees/rocks/mountains where you'll be headed. Not till you end up by the border again and hit the Black Hills.

Tires and wheels are 86lbs for me so not far off...still 40lbs+ in weight savings though.

I think my tires are supposed to be like 76..ill have to look. Rims are probably 15-20???? :not sure:

All I know is they are heavy haha and I wouldn't even pit a 33 under my rack. Pita to get up there and off and packing the truck would be odd.

Swing out really is the best place for it.

Well hopefully it's a one time mount until I rotate them. A swing out would be best. I need to just get a welder and start practicing then build my own over the summer.

Bumpers take a lot of work. plus..buying a welder and then all the tools you need to work with it..not cheap. be cheaper to just buy a new rear bumper in the long run. Not like you'll make several bumpers to make it back with it.

plus come on...you'd take a year to pick out a welder..then it would sit for 3 months in the box..then youd try it once..and never touch it again :D haha
