Wondering if I could talk the wife into going on the trip with me to lander then hanging out in thermopolis or something while I go do Morrison. As long as a DCLB can even make it up the switchbacks!

Well I would do something with them until we actually started the morrison portion. That doesn't take a week, does it? they would just be there for a few days and my wife could definitely soak in a hot spring for a couple days.

IMO Thermopolis is not one of those towns you visit for a few days.

Cody is a pretty cool tourist town and close by Clark. I would say that they would have plenty to do there for a few days with the massive museum, parks, and downtown shops. If they enjoy the outdoors you can also look into a stay at Yellowstone and get them some kinda of trip set up.

well..im saying is that Lander is the last weekend of July..but us Wy folks have lives and jobs..other then gage..and have to go to work on monday..Morrison won't be till the next weekend..so you'd ahve to do something for a week..haha

    yea,

Here is what id do Travis...

Drive up and run Lander with us. Then for the next 4-5 days, go to Jackson Hole..lots of cool shit there. THen Up to Yellowstone. Come out the East gate to Cody where you can leave the wife if ya want and then come to morrison.

not sure why you want to leave her though? goose is freaking GORGEOUS. the most scenic of the 4 trails.

and Lander trails are by FAR more rough..

Derp again. I read it like these things were happening all together, not thinking about the week between! That wouldn't be hard to do up there. As far as the fam on Morrison is that My wife and having the kids on the switchbacks. She would be hysterical. If it were back in the day and just us with no kids, she would be fine. Oh well. See what I can do. Great plan suggestion though, I appreciate it.

    ohhh...not a fan of heights?

haha she could hike it..be easy to keep up..hell..could beat us if enough people show up.

really that that scary. BlackBear pass has more narrow sections. But Morrison has like 2x the switchbacks. couple of the corners are a bit...edgy i guess..haha

Back home today after a long ass week. Lots going on in here while i was away! not going to lie i'm a bit skidish about heading up morrison switches. Definitely going to be a good clutch mastery exercise with all the backing up and turning the tight corners.

Gage, you get your fenders cut yet? what tool did you get that you were talking about, some sort of sheer?

Travis, my wife will likely be along if I make it and she loves kids (teaches 1st grade) so i'm sure they'd all get along, although dont you have a 1 year old? :D
