Holy crap. The vinyl I ordered from the china man came in. As far as I can tell it is on par with the 3M matte I have sitting around. $30 +$20 shipping for a huge 9ft piece. Once summer starts I am going to wrap the tailgate, roof, hood and grill to see how well it lays and then most likely see how it holds up to rock chips. Any extra will go to interior pieces. CANT WAIT! The brushed metal finish looks awesome.

Damn thats a pretty good deal, i was actually thinking about that a little earlier..I saw 2nd gen on instagram wrapped in matte green just like your tailgate and it got me thinking. How difficult is it to do? I'm sure going around windows and such is probably the hardest part.

I haven't had a whole bunch of experience with it but the tail gate was extremely easy. With cheaper wrap there are some techniques I have been reading about that should help a lot. If you are going for car show status then its a bit more involved because you want everything to tuck away so you never see the edges of the wrap. For our application its a bit easier and requires some competence. Mostly, its time consuming and can be frustrating. You will see it on the edges around the door when you open doors/hood/tailgate/etc but its not a big deal.

Ill have some pieces left over that you can play with. If this goes smooth then Ill just order the massive roll and be done with it. Ill have plenty left over to repair as needed then.
