I will say after getting out more near south pass there are dirt roads EVERYWHERE!!! would be fun to spend a day or two just bombing around. The road I took from the petroglyphs near rock springs to south pass was awesome, all dirt and super fun, just the right amount of whoops and excitement :D Way better than the stupid hwy...

Yea the shots of the oregon trail were near south pass on the west side. lots of historic stuff up there.

Sounds like a great area to explore Marc. Also would better earlier in summer while we wait for the mountains to thaw out.

ehh kemmerer is farther south and west. Areas i'll be going to before I can get into the mtns are here:

The area around oregon buttes and lander cutoff road are riddled with dirt roads that would be really cool to check out. Also there are some low elevation lakes near pinedale we could get to. And the flaming gorge area was really a spot I want to get back and spend some time checking out more. the southern end where it's pretty wooded.

Yesterday's drive home really put me in a good mood. Exploring does wonders for a worked over dude. Reminded me how awesome this summer is going to be.
