What are you talking about? Every time I go shooting/hunting I always have to take a gnarly 4x4 trail to get there. The two activities go hand-in-hand.

yup. completely drenched - inside and out. i don't think it leaked, i think it was just condensation build up. i've got it in the driveway right now.

I went up the Boulder River - where we went for the August meet with Homer - made it a good long way up before I ran into any snow or serious mud. The weather forecast said 30% chance of rain...30% my ass! Once I settled on a spot I had just started my fire when the rain started. By the time I had the tent set up I was soaked. Thankfully it stopped long enough that I was able to dry my clothes out before the next deluge.

Yea i find leaving a window open or my door that is covered (which i know you don't have..) helps the condensation. Still builds up though under the mattress usually from the body heat.

but where you glad you had the RTT? was it worth it? just curious now that you own one haha

Im sure you'll love it after a few more trips..

    shoulda stayed :p haha

Yeah...sure beat sleeping on the ground because on this trip I would have woken up in a mud puddle! I wish the conditions would have been better but I tried to make the most of it. The raid made me wish I had gotten the Shasta like yours...especially when the water decided to clear off of the roof and down the back of my shirt when I was half way up the ladder! That was my least favorite moment. Otherwise it was good, nice and sturdy.

Some of us don't have free time to go wheeling all the time :p.
And true, it's not "hardcore" wheeling, because I don't have the time. And like I said, the free time that I DO have is spent hunting/shooting, so I make it fun. The old logging roads that we drive in on to hunt are usually only traveled by ATV's, so they get pretty rough. They're not necessarily bad enough to need armor for, but the clearance of 33's and 3" of lift is necessary to get over fallen logs.
