I agree. I wish I could stay out here but my job back home just pays to well for the amount if work I have to do.

It makes enough to justify a 1700 mile trip? Whats that...like $250 -$300 in gas. Plus where ever you decide to sleep in between? Then the same trip back in a few months?

Just save the money and fight some fires.

 

Yeah it does. Its about 250 for gas and another 100-150 for a hotel. I only plan on one stop

I am the head sailing instructor at a sailing camp making $15 per hour full time for 6 weeks.

 

Full time being 40 hours at week? Or more?

 

40 but if they ask me to go over they give me time and a half

That's not a whole lot after taking out the $800 in travel fees. That's like $2800 before taxes. You would make more taking a $10 an hour job in Wyoming and working the whole summer.

 

Sorry forgot to mention tax free. I get paid under the table, and my parents help with the travel expenses
