I'm in Kansas right now. Was in Colorado this morning. Will be in Nebraska soon and should be in Laramie tonight after I pick up a new engine for our race car.

Long story short. Someone called in 2 white guys going east on the most traveled street in laramie. So the police stopped us. Then said we resisted arrest and then made up a lie that the roomie and I were fighting and that's why we got arrested.

Yeah, I guess the charges are pretty serious. I am not sure what to do at this point. I am going to be consulting with an attorney tomorrow and see what he thinks.

Riot Fest in Denver was successful. Good time for sure. I always feel a little down driving back through Wyoming coming from that type of environment but after a few hours i realize why i love it here.

Soob did excellent on and off the highway. Was actually pretty fun ripping through Denver interstate traffic:D :burnrubber:
Averaged about 24mpg over the course of nearly 900 miles round trip.

Having gone 250k, Aug 2016 was the time to replace the original clutch & get the driver's seat rebuilt/stuffed. Front & back Weathertech liners. '05 Tundra front disc brake swap. Full length Rocky Mountain Rack with 40" lightbar, Alternating strobe rear dust lights. I used a warm weekend in March 2022 to finally install my brand new from old stock 2000 4Runner driver's seat. $800 directly from the factory in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
Going to UW cured my drinking problem. The easiest thing when dealing with the cops & the courts in that town is this. STFU, plead no contest & pay the fine(s). It's not right but the judges/courts are vindictive & worse yet the cops believe in retaliation/retribution. This sage advice was given to me by my suddenly very serious land lady when I was telling her that I was going to fight my bullshit charge with a lawyer.

She also told me that two years before I started at UW, 4 members of the LPD was indicted & fired (no jail time) for racketeering. They were charging various downtown businesses "protection (from them) money" amounting to thousands a month each. She also told me the reason they crack down so brutally hard on the college kids in that town for a real or invented transgression is because the university has no tax base in Laramie. Anything for UW is not able to be taxed by the city/county so they need to find other sources of revenue. The students of UW are fish in a barrel & it was your turn to get shot. Don't let it happen more than once or you'll be on their favorite persons to extort list.

Party all you want but don't drive/bike/walk home afterward. Have a designated driver or taxi take you home & do so about an hour before closing time. Either is cheaper than bail/court costs so don't think it won't happen to you again.

    :drunk: = :ballchain:
