So what is the value of an 1980 Toyota pickup with a 22r transplant 4x4 and 4speed manual with minimal surface rust and has a 4" lift.

Ice fishing in the tipi is a success! Pitch was relatively easy. Currently have myself on a small chair. Ash on a wool blanket taking a nap, and my sled beside me. I could easily have 3 holes my stove and a cot set up for a nap.

    Awesome :).

No clue. I have it up in steady 50 mph wind gusts. The tent did fine. The stove on chimney might be affected.

I know hunters use these out in some insane conditions. It would suck pitching it in wind

Shouldnt be much different. After hammering in the stakes just pour some water over the stakes and they will freeze into the ice.

Fugly made a little progress today :woot:

Still ugly as shit :( but surpisingly i was able to alleviate some of the dent. At least enough to where the door closes properly.

This is by far the most redneck project i've ever taken on with this poor truck :cookiemonster:

It's in such an awkward spot it makes it tough to work on from inside the cab. A few blocks of wood and some pry bars and a makeshift slide hammer/comealong :anonymous: With an acutal slide hammer i think i could get it looking a little prettier so i'm gonna see if i can rent one of those somewhere.

You guys probably wouldn't notice a whole lot of difference from outside the cab but i can definitely tell. It's not quite as severe anymore...in some spots anyways. The remaining dingle-berries will have to be taken care of with a slide hammer.

You can kinda see what's going on though..The gap has been slowly growing all day.

Yeah it's a start anyways. Only logical thing to do is buy tons of truck parts so the dent is no longer as noticable:rolleyes:

You just have to make the truck look like a full time crawler and then everybody will just think you do awesome insane trails. Or you can actually do awesome insane trails and just flop the truck once or twice on that side. That would hide that dent pretty well.

My dad is giving me one of his augers that he doesn't use anymore so I am now set to go ice fishing on my own. Pretty stoked to hit some of the lakes down south.

    Have you got out lately?
