A little on the soft side for the weight.

It is better than it was, and I'll bet that empty bed will be ideal, but I haven't checked that out yet. Unfortunately, I almost never run empty but I am going to try it just to see how it does.

Not sure if moving the flutter did this? Or if it was the added .020 spacer at the bottom. Its seems like we overshot the mark by a little bit tho.

Any ideas?

Yeah, not boucy soft, as in worn out shocks like on Frank. There is some compression dampening, just not quite enough.

I hope to be able to articulate this more/better, once I see how it is completely empty.

 

Well the soft will mean good flex for slow stuff. And the flutter did great for the romping.

I guess you could swap out your first .08 for a .10

I'd rather have over shot it Mike because now we know which way to take it and likely what to add. I think we should still keep the stack spaced off the rate plate like it is but just stiffen up the slow speed shims a bit to the .10's you've got (er, that i have now). PM me or just post in here what you think we should try I would definitely give it a while yet to really feel it out and hopefully with some warmer temps since that will also change the way the oil acts...for the worse in our case since it'll get softer when it warms up.

I agree, a slight overshoot is not a problem.

The temp issue is valid point. I forgot we replaced syrup with water. I suspect viscosity is playing a role in this. Before the rebuild it took a mile or two of driving for the rear dampening to smooth out. Not any more. 5 wt fox oil.

My plan is to drive it this way for a while. We'll figure it out.

 

For economical eating, nothing beats turkey dogs and off-brand mac 'n cheese.

About a buck-fifty a day. <shudder>
