Someone posted a turbo kit for the 4banger not to long ago in another thread. I know nothing of them but I think it was sub 2k.

I am done with mods though haha. For a while at least.

Damnit....finally get my fuel pump, get everything hooked up and the scooter starts right up..rev it and its going great..put all the panels back on my buddy took it for a quick run and ran alright. Went to put some gas in it, even put in 91, and started bogging on me anytime I give it gas now.

I love this thing buts its pissing me off lol.

Definitely a carburetor issue. Bike carbs are bastards trust me. I've been trying to fine tune mine for over a year and it's still not perfect.

 

If you haven't already flip through your owners manual and make damn sure your jetting is proper for the altitude/temperature/ect. Give it a good cleaning if needed too.

 

How is it pointless? Lol its a blast to drive and saves me tons on gas compared to the runner.

I just cleaned the carb before installing hte pump..guess ill check it again.

Ya ive been reading through the big manual on it. ITs still the same stock jets and all and ran fine then all of a sudden started boggin. Getting the wisdom teeth out in an hour or so, so I'll tear it apart again tomorrow maybe.

Just double check all the adjustments. There should be a chart in your manual that shows altitude/temp and jetting adjustments for each. A JD jet kit and going through and double checking all the carbs adjustments should probably do it or at least help. It's usually something stupid lol. For like a month I battled a similar issue. Come to find out I was using the air screw on my carb to try and adjust my idle cause that's what I was used to from previous bikes. Turns out the idle is adjusted by just turning the choke knob

 

Yeah, not a bad price compared to the urd sc at 3k more. I know nothing of boost and such but I'd imagine you could upgrade a little at a time?

the other kit they offer is though. The Garret one.

I would never run a turbo without an IC on it. Not on a gas motor anyways.

 

When it is running and you cover the carb inlet does it die? Maybe you have a vacuum leak in the carb somewhere. In an old sled I had many years ago I had a carb with a hole in the diaphragm and it would idle fine but give it gas and it just laid down.

Watching one of the autocross events here was awesome! looked super fun. They do them a lot here too.

But...if you do that..your precious brz won't stay stock long..lol
