gage Yes I will be getting retrofits. Getting the whole housing blacked and going with a white Halo
should be here by beginning of next week. Only took like 6 weeks

Installed Demello bumper.

 

That bumper needs some dirt to match the rest of the truck Looks great man!

Bust out some scissors and trim the front of the fender liner to match the bumper line. I used zip ties to hold it up.

I've always liked retrofits. Mike and Jeff! I'm a fan of an all dark enclosure with minimal chrome accent in there. Psyched to see how your guys turn out!

 

Give it a few days and it'll match the rest of the truck.

Gonna trim them up tomorrow. Ran out of time.

Like I said earlier, I'm not finding any aftermarket blacked out corners with chrome surrounds. And all the corners I am seeing have that stupid amber reflector in them.

In headlights?

I'm not looking for offroad lights. That solution is easy.

I'm looking for street legal headlights that I can use in any situation. That is not true for offroad lights.

You solution for Frank only works in Wyo where oncoming traffic is a rare as flying pigs.

 

so true. I get angry when I see a car coming at night when I drive in WY... Mainly cuz i have to turn off the lightforces.

 

Haha yea....true..me too haha but sometimes I get excited cause part of me wants them to leave thier brights on so I can flash them

 

As far as I know they are illegal across the country because the headlights have been modified, therefore not DOT approved.

Only way to combat this is I would assume the builder of the retrofits would need to go through an approval process for each one.

But like you said, not enforced and from what others have said encouraged by some police due to the fact that it's not just throwing a set of HID's in halogen housings like many do.

 

I will not be pulled over for retrofitted HIDs.

However, if Lightforces or LED bars or rooftop Hellas start getting flashed at oncoming, this tends to get unwanted attention from Popo. No good outcomes there.

Offroad lights are not a solution for nighttime street/highway driving.

 

Some dbag in a dodge had green halos or whatever tonight. I can't say I enjoy them on the street. They are rather distracting in the mirror. It didn't take long for him to blow past me rollin coal though .

 

Personally, I think halos are "hey, look at me" lights, regardless of color. Especially when they are mounted on the front edge of the shroud.
