Also went for a a little Red Grade adventure today was nice to breathe some mountain air!

 

Dang Josh, I thought they were closer in price than that You'd be happy with either for sure but the part about the ADS I like is their seal head design that incorporates three seals over two in the king. (I think, dont quote me) ALso after seeing steves rear piggy back ADS's, their machining is top notch!!

Yeah I thought they'd be a little closer in price as well. Still up in the air but as of right now I'm slightly leaning towards the Kings. Did the seals contribute to your issues with your shocks? And was it the same shock each time or did you have problems with both of them?

 

Was both the first time, just one the second time and both the third time... Its not the seal head that's the problem with mine.

Id still go for ads though. Their outer coating is the best in the biz too

The turn off for me on foxes is they aren't know to last long in terms of the shafts and outer body. Mikes shales are fine but dam his body's are horrid. Grant we don't have a huge issue with in in wy..

But still. Id go kings or ads over fox.

 

Its true, the bodies are pitted and corroded. Was supposed to wax them a couple of times a year. Never did that. Not sure how much it would have heled to keep them lookin purty either.

My shafts are in pretty good shape for having over 40K on them which is what is important. Overall, I think they are a good value and do what they are supposed to do.

The model I have is now $200 each and adding a clicker ($120 ea) put them well below the cost of the others.

 

Your looking at 2.0s right Josh? Or did you get quoted 2.5s? I know ads is a 2.1...but whatever.

 

Yeah those are for 2.0's. I figured 2.5's might be a little overkill for my use. The price difference between 2.0/2.5 is pretty significant as well.

 

Yea figured. 2.0 will be fine. Just was curious. The clickers add a lot though don't they?

Yea josh, no need for anything bigger than 2.0 for your truck. They work find with my weight... I'd save the money on clickers man, can always add them later if you decide you dont like not having them. Plus I have a huge stack of King 2.0 shims id be happy to give ya and show you how to rebuild/revalve them

This is not good in the grand scheme of things but it means trails will open sooner...

Yeah it adds nearly 100 per shock on the Kings. Not sure about ADS. Not really sure if that extra cash is worth it for such a small feature. Would be cool though.

Think Matt told me it was 135 a shock for ads.

I know the snow fall this year is low too. I'm all for trails opening sooner but please no fires

Any idea what the ADS coilovers for the front run?
