If any of you downloaded and looked at the track i uploaded for a trip to the dunes, ignore the chunk after Jeffrey City. I was talking with the guy I work for today and he was telling me all kinds of ways to take all dirt the whole way to the dunes accross the red desert and honeycomb buttes area. He was wondering if he could ride his dirt bike with I said heck yea! He's been all over most of the two tracks out there and was pumped we were thinking of doing that route

Im thinking this should be an early June meet possibly? Should give me time to get Frank in go fast shape(rear shocks/axle/boxing frame and gussets up front and new bed rack) and the mountains will likely still be snowed in...well. Not totally. But enough still.

I noticed that after listening all the way thru, the song started over but this time the guitar portions were was louder, as loud as the percussion stuff. 2 tracks?

Thanks man! I did mix it. Helped record it. Actually I was the guy that placed every microphone. Very crucial. Love how it came out.

No it shouldnt be. The guitar get louder for the solo but come back down.
But the drums thin out due to switching to the ride cymbal vs the crash.

I mixed it live so I may not have compensated enough.

Too late now. Tis the downfall of mixing all analog. Can't go back and tweak it. Once done is done haha

Ah, once again, I wasn't clear...

The first 3:27 the drums were dominant and the guitar was muted or softer or in the background more. However, when that section ended, the song started over, only this time the guitar and the drums were much more balance, more even in volume.

Why are there 2 tracks?

 

Should be 3 tracks.

One is the drums recorded raw soloed.

One is the drum soloed but how they sound after I mixed them by them self.

The last one is the drums bass and guitar all together.

So the first two the guitar and bass you hear is bleed through from the amps being in the same room as the drums.

I just did that so you could hear how I did the drums.

 

That sounds awesome dude. I never quite understood what your job would entail but if you get to work with awesome bands and listen to music...I am jealous. Do you post up work very often?

 

Well that's the goal anyways. I don't want to fuck around. Going to Capitol Records for the top tier musicians all the time. Not just some home made studio thrown together doing local bands.

But yea hopefully good music all the time. And make it sound as amazing as possible.

I don't post much stuff no. Nothing I've done in the last two years anyways. Bunch of old crappy stuff on my sound cloud. I'm so much better at it now though that stuff is almost embarrassing haha

 

Not so much a shimmy like the heep video. More of a bump initiated body roll swerving back and forth. Maybe i need a steering stabilizer. But i have only noticed it on a very rough pothole patched road.

 

If your truck is hopping around on the road in rough sections. Your shocks are shot.
