They make dust covers for them but they are not truly weather proof. Think about it. The compessor motor is vented, it needs airflow for the heat exchanger too.

 

Well make a priorities list.

For anyone who uses the nato style fuel cans... @woodnick

I picked up one of these longer, flexible, all metal spouts. Its a good 4-5" longer than the one I lost on the trail. I can actually get all the fuel out of the can with this one.

 

Lost on the trail?? You aren't storing it on the can while wheeling are you??

 

I'm blaming Ben tho. It was fine until he took us thru the jungle trail.

Not really. One of the less expensive mistakes I've made.

This is true to an extent, but it is possible to make more room for it by making some mods to that back area. Ben has sat in that seat, he can better comment on whether or not it is a a reasonable solution.

Do you have the 45 quart or the 65 quart Whynter?

What is this 'different unit' you are referring to? What is the brand and model?

 

This is good to know but it changes nothing for me. If I have a passenger, it is incidental and doesn't override the fact that my beer and salsa stay cold and dry.

 

Getting away from ice and ice chests is a huge undertaking and has many, many consequences. IMO, skids are more important.

 

Yeah, I figured the front bumper and possibly a winch were already higher on the list than dealing with the ice problem.

And you should kno by now that nothing is higher on my list of priorities than your comfort and well being. That overrides everything.

 

Cold salas is very very important.

Won't we need them for the harder detour we are going to run. Pretty sure I'll need a locker for it.

Look at all that snow up in the high country still! Love it. Joined all the Mouth Breathers and Rammers on the loop road tonight for a quick hike and swim with Jax. Threw the truck in low range fer the first time this season. Felt good.
