Yuck, I'm in Greeley like once a month at least for work and that's way too much.. Were you moving pretty fast or no?

Sorry Monte I didn't know you were wanting to do the desert trip this weekend. Its probably still gross under the crusty top this week.

I did that before driving 1500 miles home from school... Truck steering wheel vibrated half the time. Stuff wasn't in balance, but I need new tires soon anyway. So I get it!

Yea the extra noise of the MT tire probably doesn't bother you much eh? :p lucky!

Anybody in here know of any epic trails near or around the Jackson Hole Area? Headed there on vacation in a week or two and have never done much off-road exploring in the area. Usually spend most of my time kayaking, fishing, or mountain biking.

Hmm, not really that I've been on. Monte might know. There's a cool road that goes from Moose junc to the se entrance to Yellowstone along the river. I'll see if I can scan the map that has it on it. Other than that I think its pretty private right near Jackson...

Thats kind of what I figured. I will look into the road along the river. We road Rzrs all over above slide lake on the gros ventre but those roads were all limited to a certain width of side by side. I may end up moving away from Jackson one day down to Star Valley and looking at some roads around there.

I run the old versions of the BFG Rugged Trails, that look like a shallower version of the All Terrains, so I've never gotten an MT, but you're right, it probably wouldn't bother me much - I really liked having no muffler for 1,000 miles last summer haha. But if I consider other people or a family down the road, as well as MPGs, I don't want it loud... Considering Duratracs or BFG All Terrains, or maybe the General Grabbers. Ah well.

BTW, You shoot really cool shots. I really like your sig pic, and I like a solid, tastefully done 2nd gen, and yours is definitely one. Kinda have a soft spot now for white Toyos, since mine is one. Keep it up! :)

Thanks man! We have to meet up this summer! I'm gonna go with the ko2 next tire. Should be a good balance.

You must eat at nikai in JH, great sushi if you're into that. There is some stuff south of JH near porcupine creek it looks like but so much of it crosses private land...

You need to come to Lander and hit Shoshone lake rd with us!

Good news! I will have Friday and Saturday off for the most part from now on. Not including next week because everyone has to work but starting tomorrow I'll have those specific days off. Which means I can join for a day on some of the trips.

    Yikes. Bummer.

Unless you do it like...damn who did that..some guy did it sideways. But makes wiring suck.

    Ouch

No worries! I'll finish my rack this week. Then start looking at shocks.

Jackson area sucks. Sooooo much private land.

    In short..no

Lander is your best bet or at least more towards lander.

    :woot:

    Sweet!

Wait which compressor did you get?? The small one or the medium one??

Cause the small one doesn't do tires at all

Hey guys, I'm living in Cody this summer for work. Any recommendations on good places to wheel to and then camp?

I'm actually living in Powell and working in Cody. I figure while I'm out here I should tag up with a few TW guys and learn the lay of the land as far as camping and offroading goes. Not really sure who Frank is though haha.

I live nearby as well. The Bighorn Mountains are a pretty swell place (to the east of you). The Pryor Mountains are to the north, also a good place, lots of Forest Service roads in both of those to play around on.

    Frank is a world-renowned....Tacoma.

Frankenstein aka Frank is Monte's (blackdawg) rig. I am sure he will chime in pretty soon.
