I don't think so. Its the same on both sides. I kno pin-stripping. I have quite a bit of it on my truck. None of mine looks like mountain peaks.

I must not be doing it right.

 

So, I have been talking to a lot of people in my field that have experienced what it takes to get a job. I am almost 95% sure I am not landing a full time position out of college. The only thing I have going for me is veterans preference (actually a huge benefit) and some connections I have made over the years. Regardless, I need to plan for seasonal work. The problem with seasonal work is that dates vary and finding housing that allows a dog and month to month leasing is near impossible. Back to boondocking. The goal is to buy/build a trailer that my truck can haul by time I graduate. I have 2 years of paid education left but just over a year of actual courses.

I have been looking at 2 routes. Something my truck can pull...not much . Or something that can pull my truck. The only requirement I have is that I need to find a way to keep the inside cool so I can leave Ash in it if I have to. Buying an old RV seems to be a decent route. You can pick some up for cheap (5-10k) and they should all be able to pull my truck. I am just not sure how much maintenance would cost on them or how often they would break down. Most are low miles since people buy them and never use em.

I should also note that everyone I have met is very supportive of this choice. Not one person said it was a bad idea and most said they wish they would have done it that way.

I just finished up installing the new fluid cooler. I will be starting on the headlights this coming weekend and will probably also tackle wiring up the fuse block in the bed so I can finish up the bed lights and the tent lighting.

Of course this means I'll need to do some real-world testing of this stuff.

 

Do you have to work on the 3rd?

 

I have to work the 2nd. Full day.

 

Painted. Custom by hand! I almost took Frank or Igor down. Couldn't think of anything to do though. Plus nothing he did fit my trucks at all. Looks great on grants though.

Id get a Dodge diesal and a bed camper.

A motorhome will get like..4mpg..without towing your truck. the dodge would get 15-18 easy.

I wish i could get a Cummings 5 speed so id have something to tow my trucks out to Cali when i go there.

I'd probably only buy a camper if it was a diesel. Mpgs would be a joke with a big block trying to pull Baby Taco around.

Something you could pull with Baby Taco would be cool too. Might have to boost it

 

Ooo yeaaa!! Boost baby taco! Then you could get one of those short aluminum campers. That would be cool.
