I have to run up to Billings now to get the power cable for the fridge cause me dad is lame and keeps shit like that in the truck..

So..basically. I could be late to Ben's..or not make it there at all on friday. And then make us all late........as usual.

I just have my 10-18 and 50 and the 18-135. I haven't had the 18 for like...6 months. I only ever missed it on wheeling trips. So nice to have the zoom to get the shot i want fast. Otherwise i had to move way to much with the 50 and the 10 is awesome but too wide sometimes.

But i got good at the 50. But i'll be happy to have the zoom back.

Not a great lens by any means but not bad.



Just got my SD cards all ready for this trip.

i am so far behind i feel like. Stressed out big time. Hoping that packing the truck goes smooth. Not sure all this shit is gonna fit.

I told you last week that it is possible to go back to the original plan we had of starting on Sunday instead of Saturday. You told me it would not be necessary. Recall, we changed the start date because, at the time, Ben was not taking any time off from work.

I have no big problem with meeting up on Sunday instead of Saturday but Ben is correct, we need to establish this right now. I think Chris is already on the road and Timmy is about to be.

I for one would much rather sit at home and twiddle my thumbs instead of waiting for you at Bridge of the Gods.

 

I just got offered a set of kings in unknown condition for $200 shipped. Is that a good deal or is it gonna cost me an arm and a leg to rebuild them?

 

Look pretty rough. Gonna want to see what the shafts look like. Gonna likely need new special bearings on both ends. Will cost you roughly the same to do a full rebuild on em be my guess.

 

That's a good deal. Even if it costs you another 3-400 to replace shafts, coils and lower bearings plus rebuild stuff, seals and oil and the labor to do it. Of course, once you do all that they are essentially in new condition. Call DSM, they will tell how much this will cost.

I pain $950 for mine brand new.

 

I've been going up there for the past 16 years every summer. My grandparents have a cabin up in that area. I will be back up there around 3 on Friday afternoon. For the week end again

So roads suck in the park. Too much construction. Gonna take the long way to your place. Only be on the interstate a bit. But will go through some cool country in mt and ID.

We are getting food in billings too

 

The red grade and the road to the campground are torn to hell and back from all the atvs and motorcycles.

 

Yeah I'm not surprised. It was pretty torn up last time I was there. It gets beat up pretty good in the summertime.
