There are a lot of variables so every situation will be different, but the extra interest you pay on that $20K + the $20K is more than the extra interest you would pay on a .25% increase. Though the tables turn if it were a .5% increase. That was based on 3% to 3.5% rates. If you got a 4% rate, that extra $20K on the base mortage will cost you more than a .75% increase in rate...

But... It's over now and you have a house so long as everything goes well with closing:cheers: Just make some extra payments on it here and there and you'll be able to come out ahead anyway.

Yeah. Luckily we have 2 incomes and no debt at all so we can be a little pickier. Our number 1 must is that it is outside city limits and has no real close neighbors (what's the point of living in the country if your neighbors are right next door). Just following that guideline most of them have shops or the option to build one.

You can just use the garage as needed at least. I get in trouble if I do that... haha

The place looks pretty nice at least? Does the backyard have some room for your dog to run around?

Fun weekend! I went out to the big horns for elk hunting. Oddly, Grant did the same and we ran into each other driving around and decided to hunt together. We didn't have much luck but it was fun regardless. I learned a lot this first trip out so I am stoked to get back out the upcoming weekends.

Jeff I fear you are on the slippery slope of becoming the crazy guy with a junk yard in front of his house. You know, the guy that has 20 vehicles in the front lawn with weeds growing through them...

Hey, all. I'm passing through your wonderful state. I'm currently at DQ in Casper and am heading toward Dubois so I can check out the Tetons tomorrow.

Anyone know a place I can legally/safely sleep in my car near there or along the way? I want to make it there by 9 tonight so I can get up early and enjoy Teton Park before I head out.

    Thanks!

Could try the koa right in town on the river. I don't really know anywhere you could just park camp... Lander you can camp for free in the city park but that's a bit out of the way, if you were to be in lander might as well just stay at my place :) . I'll be in Dubois tomorrow actually but you'll probably be gone by the time I get there. @BuzzardsGottaEat

Actually I found a little campground right outside of Riverton, about an hour from Dubois. I'll be headed through there tomorrow as well. When time will you be in town? Maybe we can grab a bite or something.

I'm still getting used to this new thing. These are the first two times I've even done it. Ha
