Its not just off camber its over all handling. Trust me. The difference from my tent being 14" above the rails to 4" or so was insanely different. Much much better. Felt like I could actually drive it hard and not worry about pitching it on its side on every corner I took

I had my tent high and then lower so I know it handles better but it wasn't that big of a deal. I took corners at the same speeds...its a truck not a race car . I know I know, you think you have a race truck.

Plus, we don't have a mall. If we did, I'd crawl the shit out of it.

    Huge quote fyi :)

Rtt > cap. compromise one way or the other other and i dont see the reason to remove it (rtt) during the summer unless you plan on hauling a lot in the bed (such as multiple weeks of the 4+ months of summer)
Personally i can't fit in a 5.5ft bed even if it was one of the truck tents. It was beneficial being able to climb up and grab packers full of whatever. If you plan to camp out of the shell, you will then lose 14in of bed space or so for underneath shelving (limiting what can used above, and constantly having to move items) but you gain space too. But its not like gaining 30+inches for tent height.
Youre the one who had to unpack and pack the most :p while yes it could have been useful if you were using the annex i feel like you didn't needn't to raise it that trip every night (it was the inaugural trip though ) other than accessing the fridge. But the cooler i am picking up should open all the way without having to worry about that
Yes it would. A hard topper would be quite a bit taller, our tents barely stick above the cab.
I dont worry DDing and i drive mine decently hard on road. Offroad i can see off camber situations being difficult. But at the same time i know real coils and leafs will do much better

    True story :anonymous:

Idk who you're talking too cause all these dudes have amazing flickrs. But so true!

    A stock 2nd gen..lol

    Well..suspension wise.

I had to lift my tent every night for the stupid fridge. Couldn't et it out otherwise. I didn't lift on the last night but no one was there. My new fridge will allow me to do that thank god. Unpacking like that blows.

Good discussion about bed space and ways to use it. I'm still pumped about my decision. Thanks for the input dudes! Time will tell what's going to actually work.

Yea like I said before. It fits some and other it doesn't. Either way. Should be easy to sell whichever option you don't want to keep. Haha
