i did for the day. Buddy was to hungover to even leave his house so I ran a few errands in it and went and played on a few small trails behind our school quick.

Any of you guys Kimber 1911 fans? A guy wants to offer one in a trade and I know nothing about the Kimbers other than that I have never shot one and always thought they were over priced.

 

I really enjoy shooting mine. It's a really nice gun, shot like a dream ever since I put the first round through it. And super accurate

So question for ya, this Kimber below, he said is the Kimber crimson pro carry II in .45. Its used, but when I researched it all I found was the two tone black and stainless which MSRPd at around 1200 (according to Kimbers website). Do you have any idea if its an older model of the pro carry? Just trying to get an idea of its value. Like I said I know guns, but nothing about Kimbers and cant seem to find a similar style as this. Im making an account on a Kimber forum but figured I'd ask to see if anyone knew here.

Yea it is. That's how I do it. I can't afford the parts so you buy em. You don't pay me till I deliver. That way if you don't pay for the time and effort I keep a sweet bumper haha not that would happen with us but you get what I mean.

And a dual eh? Grant and I are coming up with a tube design for his truck that's dual. Well. Talking anyways.

 

Weird, it doesn't look like it has the Crimson trace grips. All Kimbers also say the model of the pistol on the slide, plus I think you can get other slides to create the bi tone you want, so it's possible it was an all stainless gun, as far as older model it could be, it's definitely not one of the new pro carry. 1200 new is about right for a crimson carry, my ultra was 900 ish brand new. As far as a fair used price, it doesn't look like it's been shot much, judging from the mag well, and not seeing any wear on it, but I'd say you'd see a price tag of probably 900, maybe 1000 used in a gun store.

 

Yea I asked if it had the Trace grips and he said when he got it in trade it didn't have them so he swapped those grips on he ordered from Kimber. Yea Im gonna get a few more photos as well as on the other side to double check the model. Kinda the price range I figured it would be in. Thanks for the advice.

It more than likely is a pro crimson carry II, but with the grips not being the rosewood, that's probably throws off your eye, I've seen a few bi tones like that.

 

I think thats exactly it. A buddy has the ultra, and I think Im so used to the rosewood, but for the two tone i think the dark matches it better. Lol definately not worth what someone quoted him it was worth so should be fun to explain that to him. Someone quoted $1700 value to him, so gotta break that to him and tell him to find an extra couple hundred bucks to make it worth it for me.
