No you wouldn't do two latches. You'd do one with over lapping arms. It's simpler and works better.

    Disconnect latching system?

Y'all muh fukkas need some grammar and punctuation so you don't get hung up on trivial crap in each other's statements. I wanna see how this bumper load deal works.

Lol Ben seems to be indicating that you two have a disconnect on how to design the latching system. Not necessarily having a disconnect latching system. I think he may be on his phone, in which case his grammar usually suffers.

How would one at a time be helpful at all? Youd almost never open the swing out without having to get into the bed in which case you need the tail gate down. Why the hell would you have just one open? Opening both at the same time would be easy with one latch because you can still use the latch to hold the one arm back while you locked the other into place.

That and putting to latches in the middle of the bumper or whatever 60/40 will not be easy or fun to get to to open. Past the tire and under the Jerry cans. Unless you want them up high.

I'm saying that I think there will be to much weight for the spindles. For the leverage. Especially on the arm that has 10 gals of fluid and a 35lb hi lift. That's a lot of weight and leverage on the arm.

I think im confused on how you want to set it up. I would have to see it, maybe that would clear up cuz i feel like im thinking of a totally different set up.

This is how it always is lol

Umm..you're confusing me on the first bit..if I'm right then a double latch won't work..

Yea and if I do double shear and recess the spindles and use 1 or 1.5" tubing it'll work great.

    I'm all for that.

What? Why would you send me your truck for a couple months?? Won't you want it to use?

I'll send you parts lists later. Not till April. But have at least a grand set aside. I won't have all the steel I think or aluminum for table and all that shit.

Maybe that's why he deleted it..didn't want to be wrong on his second post in months God forbid..

Probably haha so what. Basically likes mikes but dual and I have to fit a damn hi lift...double shear spindles..

Actually now that I think about it. Yours is gonna be more pricey with two spindles. But not much. Whatever. Not an issue I'm sure.

Nice man, glad you guys made it safely. I'll be back around noon I'm guessing. Thought I could make it to Missoula and back in a day but I ain't as good as I once was apparently. My eye was bugging and I got tired so I grabbed a hotel just north of the wyo border.
