Best boots to reboot with are? I am actually running 1 chevy boot and seems to suck like the toyota ones. And yes thick zip tie on large end and hose clamp on smaller seals perfectly in a pinch (2years running) Just trying to find them now before i reaxle the cv's.

I'm not 100% sure yet whether or not I'm going to replace the outer boots. They're not ripped, but they do have 140,000 miles on them so I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and replace the boot and grease while I'm there

From the research I've been doing it seems that a lot of people stick with OEM boots. They're better than most normal length aftermarket options.

There are these extended boots, but they have a circular opening for aftermarket cv's. But some have had good results with them on our tri-lobe tulip race.

Only other viable option I saw were these. They're the same length/size as OEM. But supposedly heavier duty.

Yeah, I've seen that video a few times already. It does explain how to do it, but if you're just replacing the boots/grease then there's no point in removing the outer tulip with the "hammering" method and removing the c-clip.

New job?

 

Things just working out well down there. Job was going well but GF and I had some disagreements, so for the time being I decided to come back. It'll be good for both of us. We left it on good terms so that's all i could have really asked for. Good to be back with my dog and truck though we'll see how things go though.

 

And that big Corsa Performance box in the Subie had some goodies that got installed last night...

 

That sucks man . Come to Laramie and fix my truck. I will pay you in ramen and ash cuddles (obv, the ramen is a bonus).

 

Hahaha shit man Laramie may be an option. My life is just kind of a jumble right now. Let the job hunt begin..

Honestly as long as it doesn't have to do with food, or working directly with customers/the public. I'm pretty open to options lol.

Definitely giving the welding program at the college here some serious consideration. I enjoyed working at EMIT working directly with welders quite a bit, and I learned a lot. The job I left in Colorado was in a fab/welding shop as well and I really enjoyed that, even though I wasn't working directly with the fabricators and such. It's always been something that interests me though.

Sounds great on the road too. No drone at all. Stays pretty quiet and livens up nicely when you get on it. Really never expected to get this exhaust for a long long time, but my girlfriend, her mom, and my parents all collaborated and bought it for me as a Christmas/Birthday present. Pretty damn good present if you ask me
