So did everyone get there powerball ticket? I just bought 2..never have bought a lotto ticket, seemed like the time to do it ha

 

Are the switchbacks as bad as everyone says? Always wanted to take the Jeep over there but never got around to it.

 

Nope, I might get some tomorrow before the drawing. I thought about what I would do with that money and really I don't think I would do that much! I would probably buy the wyo crew some parts/video equipment and fund a sweet adventure. Then just invest in a big chunk of land and continue with my education.

 

Yeah I've bought one the last 2 drawings lol. Figure I have just as good a shot as the next guy. 2$ for a chance at 1.5 billion? I've blown 2$ on much worse things.

 

Yes and no. The first year i did it it was easy and fun. Second year..not so much. SUCKS major ass if you have a long wheel base. Short ones and its not bad. But the second year mike nearly drove off the edge, so the danger is real. Its pretty bad. But still fun. Beautiful trail. If you have a manual you better be DAMN good at it too haha

Yea i know id donate a lot..but same for me. Just travel and invest it and finish school. for $2 bucks, why not? haha

You might want to replace the axle seals on both sides while your at it. That is what I'm doing. Cheap insurance. That one may be leaking because the seal was damaged when you swapped.

Well if "us" is considered trips you arrange then ya. I wish I could make the bigger trips work but generally I can't. One of the downsides to my summer job. I do meet up with at least one or two members a summer and enjoy some camping.

 

Well not even the big trips. The weekend ones you never make either.

Hopefully you can this summer.

 

I want to say it is at least a quart but not much more. You might as well pick up 2 quarts. You wont use it all but it'll keep for when you do the rear diff or the t-case.

Do you have a hand pump?

 

Yeah, its the hardest job I've attempted. Getting the bj out of the spindle was the hard part. I ended up pulling the spindles off the truck and having a shop press them out. Cost me $40 I think.

FWIW, the uppers will not fail catastrophically like the lowers will. They will just get sloppier and sloppier. To the point where they will effect tire wear and handling.

Why stay with stock UCAs at all? Granted you will still have to press out the upper outa the spindle, but why not go to an aftermarket upper?
