I've been lucky so far this Winter. The housing community I live in requires you to clear your driveway within so many days of snow.

 

Ask Wessa, @MTgirl , pretty sure she used a hoist set up.

 

We don't get real snow here

We're lucky if we get one foot all at once maybe once or twice out of the year.

 

This has been the most mild Winter we'd had since I've been in Missouri. And I'm loving it. We've gotten snow about 3 times, never deeper than about 4".

 

So I just got back from lunch, and while climbing back into the runner a guy approached me who had a older landcruiser. He was saying it was a nice rig, and asked if I had thought about selling it and what I would want for it. I've been kicking around buying another rig, like a weekend warrior kinda like ben did. But had only though of trading in the runner for something much much newer and more practical if it caught my eye. I had no idea what to tell the guy I would want for it. I don

 

Yes, with your brz. The idea was get a fun summer/weekend warrior car and keep the 4runner. But the more I look I tend to get into a high price category that I wouldn't keep the 4runner. I would get the nicer vehicle and go buy an old model 4wd toyota pickup of some sort. I've tested a few wrx, an evo, looked at a couple audis again (not gonna happen though) and the likes. I've even looked at the new tundras. I have my work truck for every day driving so I don't necessarily need a 4wd vehicle or big truck unless "I decided I just wanted my own nice personal one. Plus the 4runner, while I love it, is not exactly practical for someone who has no need seating more than 1 or 2 people in the for see-able future. The gf will be moving here in May and it would just be us. And a dog or two eventually.

This is all speculation and free thinking since im bored at work lately. I am just curious as to the general opinion you all may have.

 

Ben, buying a beater truck is just a waste of money. A) you have to buy one...expensive B) you have to insure it, register it C) Maintain it.

Right now, the best plan i like is working Tippet Rise June-July. Hoping Weed&Pest take me back in august through sept. Then id have weekends aug-sept.

Which really is the most likely event. That way i can run Live sound for Luke Bell again in July and at Cody for a while.

then though..im not sure.

I will still make at least 1 trip.

You guys started sounding like me, talking about volume of vehicles. That reminds me. I bought another car last week and sold it before I got it home. Also I am selling my newer 240z.

 

Haha yep. He finally has a job that works towards his future. Ill be curious to see how willing he is to ask for a week or two off when the position is short term.
