Are you certain of this? I can't see the DB bracket the pics are so crappy. However, it's pretty obvious it has a body lift on it. Looks like 3".

    Utter failure. :D

I've noticed that alot being in Casper, lots of "scene" kids driving there subis/evos/350Zs/etc around that have more money in a plastidip paint job or huge spoiler then they do in the motor. Sad to see.

This is the bike I've been wanting. Or a 883, smaller but I'd never need more than that.

Althought the Ducati Scrambler Icons are a awesome looking weekend bike.

Its quite sad to see nice cars get ruined by plastiderp and poorly executed 'mods'

883's are sweet though i looked into those a bit too. I'd lean towards the 48 for a bit of extra power, but i love the way the 883 looks.

That Ducati is pretty crazy looking! Those crossover bikes have grown on me quite a bit. I like the FZ09 alot too.

My friend who lives in Casper now had a 883, then traded it in for the 48. He said the 883 was fun in town, b ut just lacked power on the highway. He said just got foe the 48 the first time.

I'll have to look at teh FZ09, I just always dug teh scramblers look when they came out. And I mean its a ducati, its just fun to say...Du cat eEEE

That's what I heard about the 883's. Still would make a fun weekend ripper but I'd definitely want a bit of extra juice on the highway. I've always been a Ducati fan  the Ducati Monster is another cool one.

Only reason I wouldn't go Ducati is so hard to get maintenance done.

Sure did. Gotta get it registered still and address the axle seal. Pretty cool truck though.

Possibly, it was purchased because I start my job in march that requires me to drive 10 minutes out of town and back. I don't plan on keeping it unless the girlfriend really wants it and we determine a way for her to buy it off me. She is already planning on learning and doing most of the maintenance with my help. If she decides to not keep it then I don't think I will have a hard time selling it in a college town and getting most of, if not all of my investment back. Not to mention 4wd is almost a necessity in laramie.

So, if I can pull the motor and get it to the machine shop, the guy will be happy to work on it and get it in top shape for a reasonable price. If not, I need to pay a mechanic to pull the head, re-do timing, etc.

Any chance some of you more mechanically inclined individuals could help me, the less mechanically inclined out. I am drowning over here . Food, beer, and a place to sleep will be offered. From what I understand it takes about a day to pull an engine out and swap a new one in. Scratch the new one and it shouldn't be too bad, no? I imagine it will be a pretty penny if I have to resort to a mechanic.

Not that I'm super mechanically inclined but I'd be happy to lend a hand and turn some wrenches if needed.

You would be more than welcomed to come help. And if no one else is up for the task it would be better than nothing . We some how managed to swap diffs after all. This would save me a heck of a lot of money despite having to have the machine shop do the work. If I have to pay a mechanic I can guarantee I won't be going on any trips this summer and baby t might not be able to get fixed until next september :pout:.
