Nice, you planning on a false bottom or filling the whole thing with dirt?

 

I would rock the bottom to help it drain, also depends what she is planting

 

This worked for a massive box my Dad and I built. We had some loose top soil on the bottom a good sized rock layer and then dumped a shit ton of manure/topsoil. Worked great and our tomato crop was massive last year.

 

Yea I sorta thought that after I posted.

The old ones are sweet.

 

Ya just check online and see what tomato growers recommend. We grew strawberries and lots of herbs and hot peppers which didn't require a lot of water

 

Got my level 8 mk6's on some 265 hankooks.

 

Going to the annual 4x4 swap meet at the fairgrounds tomorrow. Hope to find some useful stuff.

Tomatoes need lots of water, in the morning then again later in the day after the sun is gone. Gotta saturrate the dirt each time and for like 3 months straight.

Gardening is a good skill to have, just like fabricating and cooking. Unfortunately I don't have the patience for it but my mother certainly does and our garden thrives every year.

 

Yea my mom and grandma do it..or did. Mom mostly just flowers though. Gran used to do carrots and green beans and other stuff. She is too old now though.

 

Give me an idea of what that might be.
