That's not the issue really haha

It's whether or not money wise. In theory I should have plenty by then. Maintenance is going to make or break this.

I've just got to decide whether or not to commit by the end of the month to request leave haha

Gotta set aside a LOT of money just for gas.

He's AF... and our regulation AFI33-3003 states only the unit CC can deny leave. And basicly needs to have a good damn reason, like manning, but then must deny all leave for anyone else in the unit around that time.

I've been told over 100 times that I couldn't take leave... yet not ONCE was it denied. (only pressed it when I'd already purchased tickets or similar issues)

Yup, manning is the only reason why I wouldn't be able to take leave. Which is why most people request it at least a month out, but that's poor planning on their part because we can see our long range schedule for the next 6+ months on whether or not we have enough people.

I like to request 2-3 months early to make sure I get my leave.

I have definitely been one of those people in the past, but my reasons were valid. This year it is already set in stone.
Hopefully the CO caravan can have us all leave the same time/day. I will be heading up the night before so that we will be ready to rage on the 25th.

I think I'll be good to meet up and leave whenever because I'm sure I'll take thursday off too, otherwise I'd be leaving after 1600... and dealing with traffic (E470 would be worth the $ at that point)

long way off... but that's pretty much SOP for me

I plan to leave at around noon on the 24th so that I can be in Lander to camp at the city park by 7pm. We can chill, get fishing licenses and food/snacks/ice, do final vehicle inspections at camp that night and maybe have a couple beers at the park. Then, we get up early and meet up with the WY folks Friday morning so that we can hit the road ASAP. I hope to get to each stop point early enough that I can set up camp and fish for a while.
IIRC, Monte said my truck is too long to make it all the way to the lake on day 1 so I want to be able to make a few trips to the campsite to set up tent, etc. will all my shit I will need that night. Unless someone in a itty bitty 1st gen wants to come back and load up my stuff in their rig and drive it over there for me. I guess if it isn't that far to my truck, I might just stumble back to the truck when everyone goes to bed.

my dad made it to Christina. You should be able too, he had to take a different route but made it.

We won't be camping up there by the lake though that night. There isn't enough room really. And if we have to drive out of christina and into shoshone on the same day, be a long day.

Shoshone has TONS of fishing though.

If everything works out, i think all the wyo guys will be there thrusday night perhaps in the city park so we might not have to wait for anyone.

Sweet! What is the planned camp site for the first night? I would rather do Christina one day and Shoshone the next.

If I didn't know what you were talking about, that would be sig worthy. Plus, it messed with me because my wife's name is Christina.

 I'm in for sure! My plan is to drive up Thusday evening for the Lander trip, then "work" remotely the next week (fish/wheel/whatever/camp/wherever), and be already in the area for the the following weekend trip.

LOL, rush hour in Wyoming is at the liquor store, not on the streets.

    That's good stuff right there.

We will be at that trail head of christina. Or somewhere else in the general area. TONS of places to go around there. we will all be together though.
