Well I took a job in Alaska and had about a week to get up there, the bad part was i would leave Dec 23 to head up. No idea of how the Tacoma would do pullling a fully loaded 6x12 u-haul on ice covered roads on the Alcan.
Well the trip went great, the truck pulled awesome on all the hills. When we hit Dawson Creek BC the truck was put into four Hi due to icey and snow covered roads. The truck is still in four hi today becouse the roads here are still ice covered.I have now put about 2000 miles on the truck while in four hi.
Some were in Canada we came across several animals and great views, but one night we put the tacoma to the test. We came across a Subaru that went off the road and 15 to 20 feet down an imbankment. The Subi plowed through 2 to 3 feet of snow for over 100 ft. My wife and I decided we would help the little subi out so we angled the truck and ran out almost 100 of cable and a tow strap and started pulling. We started pulling but the tires had a hard time gripping on the layer of ice that was on the road, so a Tropper and canadian serch and rescue personel that arrived loaned us some wheel chauks to keep from slideing. Anyway after 2 hours of winching and shoveling in minus 30 degree weather the subi was saved. I will start posting pics of the trip hope you enjoy.

Kind of random question, but what kind of fog lights do you have in the ARB bumper? Curious if any bumper out there will let me retain my stock fogs...

They are ARB fogs that come in a kit to fit that bumper.

It may not look like it in the pics but there is a layer of ice on the Alcan about 1/2 in thick in most areas, But so cold that the traction is pretty good.
