    Lots baby!
I have an oil pan spacer left.

It currently has no baffle, but if you wanted the baffle, I could add it.

Just knocking on the door. If you'll produce a 4x4 baffled pan for us, there are some of us ready!

I looked at this pretty hard and it did not look like you gained enough to justify the cost. There are also space limitations due to the 4-wd.

Is a Baffled spacer an option?

If you are talking about an X-runner spacer, yes you can get it baffled or not baffled.

∆∆ this mainly on a 4x4 pan.. The baffling would be a great feature that even the stock 4x4 pan does not have as far as I know.

How's the space limitation? Even slightly deeper for more capacity or same capacity using internal baffles with optional cooling fins would be beneficial. I have the extra capacity transmission pan from PML and can appreciate these kinds of upgrades. I'm sure the boosted bros would too. Even if the spacer with baffle were an option...

    Borrowed from PMLcovers

Spacer with a baffle could be done with 1/8" steel or maybe a little thicker for aluminum.

The Xrunner pan is a two (2) piece design. This is the same for the 4wd pan. The Xrunner lower oil pan has a large perimeter compared to the 4wd pan. The Xrunner lower oil pan is very shallow. So if you drift an Xrunner (any many do) all of the oil runs to one side of the pan and the oil pump will cavitate, shortly followed by an seized engine. Since the lower section of the oil pan has a large perimeter, it only take an inch spacer to add a quart capacity. The same 1" spacer on a 4wd lower pan probably adds about 1/4 quart (I would need to check my records for an accurate count).

If you have a 4wd drive, you probably don't want a big oil pan hanging down. You are probably concerned about ground clearance for off roading. Since the stock lower pan is deep, you can have a pretty severe body angle (on an incline or decline) and not cavitate the oil pump. If you want to drift a 4wd, you could, without cavitating the oil pump. Some guys with Xrunners swapped out their shallow pans with 4wd oil pans. These were usually guys that have blown an engine. Unfortunately, you have to swap out both sections of the oil pan which is a pretty sizeable job.

With all of that said, the 4wd oil pan is pretty good. The Xrunner oil pan sucks.

So to prevent frying an Xrunner engine, you need a 4wd oil pan or a custom oil pan or spacer.

Making a custom oil pan (in today's prices is about $2k) and you need a few people that want this to spread out the R&D cost. Is it worth it for a 4wd drive, probably not.

However, you could put a thin baffle between the two sections of a 4wd oil pan (as you described). It would not hurt anything, but is probably not needed. It would not add any oil capacity, but would help retain the oil in the lower pan. You would need enough openings in the baffle to allow oil to freely gravity drain to the lower section.
