For those interested in this grille I just listed custom TOYOTA decals for the grille center plate in my eBay store - https://www.ebay.com/itm/182939242507.

The decals are specifically designed to fit the grille perfectly and are available in colors to closely match your paint color.

@rrentrop will the decals you posted above perfectly overlay the lettering on the OEM badge the OP is suggesting to use on the grill? Where I'm going is that I plan to add the OEM TOYOTA badge to the grill as I like the added depth of the letter as opposed to a flat decal, however I'm thinking it would be cool to have the letters on the badge match the Cement color of the truck as opposed to its white lettering. So my thought is that I'd like to over lay your decals in Cement on the badge letters but I'd want this to be a precise fit so it covers all the white but doesn't hang over onto the black portion of the badge. Here is a link to the badge: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F2ALULA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These decals won't fit exactly, but if you are willing to send me (or have it dropped shipped to me) I will make the inlays for that badge and send it back to you at no charge.

Thanks man. The badge (and grill) are on their way to me now. Let me first see how the white look on the grill on my truck and if I'm not happy with the white I'll contact you for getting the badge shipped to you.

Maybe a simpler option would be to have @rrentrop send you a sheet of the vinyl in the color you want and cut the vinyl out over the badge? The convenience of having them already cut out is great, but seems like a lot of shipping going on for this.

The circular cuts for the Os will be difficult to make by hand. Having the badge in hand will allow me to make a template.

Oh, most definitely. I know with you it'd turn out as a better finish. I know I'd be impatient with the shipping back and forth and just slap the vinyl over the badge then start trimming. The O would be tough though.

@rrentrop thanks again for doing this. I'm sure many people could use your decals for applications other than this grille especially if they fit over the emblem and are thicker/bolder than the ones that go over the TRD Pro grille letters, might want to make a separate thread.

@watkins303 how did you mount the TOYOTA badge? Did you drill 3 hole in the grill for the 3 mounting tab on the back of the badge -OR- did you cut the 3 tabes off the back of the badge and then use double sided 3M tape to stick it on?

@perkj either way will work, I drilled the three holes in the blank spot then put silicon around the pegs. You could also sand down the pegs then put 3m/silicon to hold the badge down as well. I just thought it would be a little more secure drilling the pegs in.

    @OCPaisa great question.

Seems like the way the TSS system works is a sensor in the grille behind the emblem. I've yet to get my hands on one as I have a 17' but seems like people are saying it can be reattached to other grilles with correct mounting, but I just don't have enough info yet to be 100%.

With the badge area on my grille I think there is a way it could be mounted.

If anyone one on here knows about it, would love to see some pics of the sensor/mounting or know more info about it.

I suppose you would need to accommodate the sensor similar to how the pro grille does.

My 2018 OR grille accomodates the sensor on then Toyota emblem (its sort of see through to an extent). Not sure how this info would translate on to your design. Your the expert though, so.....lol

I can't see the picture you posted but what I was thinking could work is mount the TSS sensor just below the blank spot on the grille so the TSS sensor would be in-between the middle and the bottom bar of the grille, then put a piece of acrylic in front of it to protect it.

Was hoping someone with some more knowledge could chime in.

One of my buddies I haven't seen in a while had a TRD pro grille and liked my grille insert. I ended up trading him one of my grilles for his TRD Pro Grille so I could debadge the letting from the pro grille and I ended up with this:

    IMG_6449.jpg

I'll be posting pics of it installed soon.
