    thx....
A local paint shop mixed me up a touch up cement aerosol can and a clear coat. Just make sure the chrome is prepped, scuffed, and cleaned really well. If I did it again, I’d prime the chrome and wet sand first. ‍♀️

Hey everyone just wanted to give you an update on the potential changes I'm looking to make to the grille.

Basically I'm trying to make a a simpler/economical option for the grille to work with 2018's+ and up without the mesh.

The mesh will likely still be an option, but would like your feedback if you'd prefer this option or the mesh to mount the sensor on the 2018's+ and up.

Rather than use the mesh to mount the sensor, I will keep a portion of the plastic that's in-between the lower two bars of the grille where a sensor can be mounted and use it to both protect and mount the sensor.

So rather than customers pay for an extra $80 dollar mesh option in order for it to work on the newer model Tacomas, this option will work for cheaper.

Anyways here are some pics of the prototype. (Keep in mind the the finished version will be much cleaner, I trimmed this one out by hand)

I check the product page on your site just about every day. I’m really happy to see the innovation @watkins303.

I have a 2017, so the extra plastic won’t benefit me, but I’m ready to buy whenever you put up the next batch for sale.

Good point, there will also be the option to have the original style without the plastic window for us 2016-17 guys.

Can you alter the mold so it incorporates the trim piece so you don't have to buy that? I don't think any of the newer ones have the trim anymore and if it was part of the grill it would look cleaner imo. The thing I like about this grill is there's no box cut in the grill for the sensor. As long as it works and I can't see it, I don't care if there's mesh or the bracket. If it is still kind of visible, I'd probably put some bug screen behind the grill to darken the background up.

I wish, I thought of doing that from the start of this project before the 2020 grille designs even came out but overall the easiest way is to just have it so it fits under the trim piece.

Some of the 2020's do have a trim piece but for the guys with a 2020 and no trim piece, I'd suggest getting one from a member on here. Since so may people have the pro grille, people are practically giving away their trim piece.

This is the best looking grille option I've seen. Looking forward to the final product.

Thank you, I'm having a hard time finding a 2018+ to test these out on with the corona virus going on. If anyone is in Orange County with a 2018+ that would be okay with me testing the prototype on you're truck would really appreciate the help, thanks!

I'm in NJ. I wouldn't mind testing it if you would ship it. I have a 2020.

Dude! This is the best looking grille I’ve seen. Saw it on Reddit and had to search google til I found it. Keep us updated on pre-orders. I am ready to order ASAP.

I also am highly anticipating pre-order availability. I feel like I have seen every grill variant out on the web and this one is by far the best looking I've seen.

Any updates? Need this grill on my truck. Curious to see where you landed with mounting the front camera for the 2020’s?

Thanks for checking in, I have the design tweak completed and just about ready for production.

I just need to verify a few things due to the Corona Virus before I start taking preorders.
