X-Trek - Grille Insert Option

Okay guys want to thank you all for your interest in the grilles, just giving you all a heads up.

I just got confirmation that I'm about 5-8 weeks from having the grille done and ready to ship out.

5 weeks being the earliest and 8 weeks being the latest.

I will start taking preorders through my website in the near future, thanks.

Will the new grilles be compatible with a 2020 adv tech package (front camera and radar)?

 

When can we pre order?

 

Everyone who's installed it with a 2018+ has not had any issues with the radar.

I haven't been able to test out the camera yet but I'm sure there's a way to mount the camera to the metal mesh behind the grille or just above the top bar and screwed it into the plastic of the grille.

I've had a really busy few weeks but I'll be setting up the website next week.

Are there any updates being made to how the TSS sensor will be mounted in future production?

Also yes if you go back a few pages back you'll see the prototype of how I'm going to update the grilles on the 2018's and up.

As soon as I get a sample off production I'll be sure to show the new integration with more detail. The one I posted a few pages back was a handmade prototype that just served for fitting purposes, the final version will look much cleaner.

On a side note I am designing a vinyl logo for the blank section of the grille.

It will have a border that follows the shape of the blank section and will come with the letters "TTTAAACOOOMY". You'll be able to spell out a few different things with those letters.

This is so you can order everything from my website and have your grille ready to rock and roll for a more economical price. This vinyl sticker will give the customers who don't want to mess with epoxy or drilling an easy instal option.

To give you an idea the attached picture is rough design I made on my paint software but it will look much better, trust me.



The shop making the vinyl stickers for me will also be able to do custom stickers for the badge area if anyone is interested. You'll be able to put your company logo, something personal, your dogs name, design a totally custom logo, or whatever you want, etc.

However, if customers still want to go with the "Toyota" badge by all means can still go that route as well.

What I'm trying to do is give customers more options; some customers want to get a grille for a economical price and want something that is totally plug and play, while other folks who are more hands on can go all out with the meshes, raptor lights, front cameras, badges, emblems, ect.

Now you'll have some options to customize a grille to your desire at a reasonable price and stand out from everyone with a "China Pro Grille" but in a good way.

It's taking a little longer to get the material delivered due to Corona Virus than anticipated which is what the hold up is. I could have used a cheaper material and had it done already but the material I've used for the grilles has the perfect matte finish and fits the Tacoma perfect.

I could start preorders now but I still need to confirm pricing based on a new metal bracket that will work with on the updated 2018's + grilles and I need the first test sample to measure out the bracket. Once the material gets here hopefully by this week or early next week, I'll be able to start shipping out the grilles very quickly from then.

 

Would you be willing to take 2016-17 pre orders now? I'm glad you recognize the pestering is excitement for the product and nothing less.

 

Are these going to work with 2020's?
