    OP,

I really like your original design, just not feeling the adaptation to accommodate the sensor. No knock on your design at all, just that the post fix for the sensor isn't inline with the clean design of the original. I'd sit this one out if those are the final options for integrating the sensor. Perhaps there will come a time when it's worth the $$ to retool for a design that incorporates the sensors. The more time that goes by, the more 18+ vehicles there will be out there.

No problem at all I appreciate the consideration and I understand why you want it that way. Redoing the tooling on the actual grille would be a pretty costly mountain to move but if the demand is there and I were to fab and design a legit mesh in a computer and have them water jet cut in a machine and powder-coated (not just one I made by hand) I think it could look pretty clean. I'll be posting some pics of what the mesh actually looks like on the tacoma and if you ever change your mind you know where to find em.

Something tells me a metal mesh would interfere with the radar signal. Just a gut feeling, no evidence or knowledge one way or the other.

He probably can just get a 2018 trd grille and make a copy of that and delete the herriagebone while just leave those three bars across.

Did you just cut that grill mesh, or would this be something you would sell as an option with your grill? I would be interested in purchasing the mesh separatly. Thanks

You could be right about that, I don't really have a way of knowing either. I really need to find someone local and test one it out. If anyone in so-cal near the city of Orange would willing to help out and wants a grille I would be willing to sell you one for $200.

Yup I just made it myself by hand, if there is enough interest for the 2018's I could make them and sell them separately as an option. However, if your just looking solely for a mesh grille I'd say your best option is probably customcargrilles.com because the way I made the mesh it sets backs into the grille to accommodate for the insert.

As far as the group-buy goes, I am going to end it this Friday and ship out Saturday.

When Friday comes if we have more or less than 10 people who are willing to pay that will ultimately determine the price, either $220 or $200 shipped to mainland United States.

So far there are 6 people who are in, with a couple of maybes.

    Maybe's
@Papito (lives in USVI) I can ship to you but you'll just have to pay the the added shipping cost.
@FuzzysTacos (is in if the price can get to $200)

I'm strongly considering using the vinyl Grille letters from @rrentrop when I get my grille. My question to you guys that are smarter than me is... are @rrentrop's Grille letters and the Grille letter inlays the same size or different as I'm thinking of stacking them with two tone colors (grey and sliver?) for a different look. Ideas? Comments? Thanks!

The X-Tec decals are larger than the inlays. I'll have to see how well the inlays fit inside them and let you know later today.

Can you get me a shipping quote to zip 00802 - otherwise I will have it shipped to my buddy in FL and have him ship it down to me. Looking forward to your response.

Love the look of this grill!
Count me in if shipping to Canada is reasonable.
OP, might be more interest if this is added to group buy section?

Thanks for the update. That is exactly what I am looking for, a mesh to go behind my existing grill to help mitigate bugs going into the radiator. Would you be willing to see the one you made? Please let me know.
    Thanks

Seems like shipping shouldn't be too much more to those areas if I go though USPS. Just add an extra $12 to the cost.
