    First off:
    I appreciate your concern.
I have read your threads on "Ultimate" headlight/foglight. good work. great numerical data.
You have clearly invested money and time to investigate and improve an aspect of these trucks.
Thank you for providing value added information to this forum

I do not want to run 90W bulbs in stock housings or additional wiring harnesses
Additional light is needed to improve MY visibility and safety.
I work in the automotive industry and am aware of FMVSS regulations.
I do not run my XB fogs on populated roadways as they put a concentrated beam pattern on the A/B/C pillars of nearby cars.
This ruins peoples night vision when they check their blind spot when I am passing on the left.
They are aimed correctly. My truck is lifted.
HIDs are not the most ideal setup, I agree.
My opinion is that HID's out perform my XB's even with some scatter.
SAE/DOT cert. does not guarantee something will perform great.
I plan to continue being responsible when determining usage of my fog lights after my switch back to HID.

I'm curious as to why the XBs are shining up that high on other vehicles. I've seen XBs beam and it seems well cut off, though I have not driven with them. You'd have to have a pretty significant lift for a below the bumper fog that should only point light down to hit light above the door sills in another vehicle. Is your truck nose high by chance?

SAE/DOT is only partially to do with performance, it also has to do with safety. Personally I think the DOT pattern is garbage and would much rather see something like the European E-code/TUV standard that does better at both.

Acknowledging that putting HIDs in your fogs is essentially turning them into off-road only aux lights vs something safe for street use with traffic ahead, and you know to be conscious of it is one thing. It is those that put them in the fogs and think they have an acceptable beam pattern to run on the street causing hazards to other motorists is what I am trying to educate people on and stamp out.

Eagerly waited, and got them in today. Quick shipping and was the easiest install I have done. Waiting till dark to make sure they're aimed right.

Man those look so much better than the stock halogen reflector fogs!

And just so you guys know, the 10 year warranty really works! I had an issue with mine after 3 years (moisture inside one light) and they sent a new set out no questions asked. When was the last time you saw that from anybody!
