I traded in my terribly awful Chevy Colorado in December of 2012 and got my first Toyota, the best decision I ever made. A 2011 Tacoma TRD Off-Road and immediately tossed some worn out Toyo MT's on that I got for free from a friend to hold me over. The photo below is from the day I brought it home, and a few others, until now.

I didn't do any mods for a long time but eventually got more and more interest in my truck, and eventually hurt my wallet by finding TacomaWorld.com

    Mods
    - 2011 TRD Off-Road
    - Nitto Terra Grapplers 265/75/r16 (1-inch spacers to level off/taco lean) (replaced Toyo MTs)
    - Wheels unknown
    - Color-matched Raptor Satoshi Grill from HomerTaco
    - Raptor-style Amber LED mod
    - Black Powder-coat rear bumper
    - Plasti-dipped black emblems
    - Pioneer AVIC-NEX7100 stereo
    - Antenna-X Stubby
    - Toyota Hitch Cover
    - Center console organizer
    - more I'll add later

    Upcoming mods
    - Lift kit (5100's x 4 OME 885 coils, AAL, TC UCA's)
    - Lower valance LED light bar
    - Wet Okole seat covers
    - Duratrac 33's
    - open to ideas

The first mod I did was added a Green Bay Packers logo (don't hate). To keep things clean I chose a grayscale color. #GoPackGo

Next I needed to get rid of that awful pinstripe dealerships always have to toss on vehicles, so I started taking that off with a clay bar. Followed by powdercoating the chrome bumper flat black.

A few weeks later I added some mountain bike mounts to the bed. Quick mod and works like a charm.

I then quickly decided I didn't want the cheesy chrome grill on the front, and wanted that murdered-out all black look. So I went ahead and bought a cheap black OEM grill on eBay a few weeks later. Looked good enough for a little while. keywords, "little while"

However, after one summer in the Vegas heat it actually started melting from the sun reflecting off of not very energy efficient windows that bow after a few years and turn into magnifying glasses. Yes this is real after a few Google searches, and the only explanation I have for this next photo.

I then found HomerTaco's custom Satoshi grill thread, and decided I absolutely had to have one. And not just any satoshi grill, but his hand-made Raptor grill, so I got one of those to replace my cheap melting grill. It took almost a year of waiting for my name to come up on his order list. He's a busy guy for a reason. Makes good stuff. I went with Tacoma, instead of Toyota.

Looks good next to my lovely girlfriends 02 stepside... don't you think?

Changing the oil when it's 117 degree's in Vegas, under a black vehicle, is satisfying and terrible at the same time.

Next it was time to replace my worn out and starting to fall apart Toyo MT tires. I didn't need a MT tire anymore, and finally decided on some Nitto Terra Grapplers. I went with 265/75/r16. I kinda wish I got Duratracs, and those will likely replace the Nitto's.

I tossed on the Nitto's, and after switching to an All-Terrain tire I ended up going to my family cabin the very next weekend, and they handled the trip like a champ. Went fishing too. They were out of black lugnuts so I took silver, and had to wait for some blacks to come in and now have them. Chose Gorilla nuts.

Next up I was debating on taking off my badges, but instead settled with plasti-dipping them. I love the look, and still have them to this day, but occasionally consider debadging my rig.

This year things haven't been going quite as smooth as I'd like, and the mods slowed down a tiny bit. Just a little. I do have a lot planned though. I'm looking to get some seat covers, weathertec floormats, and add a lift, among other things.

Gave her a wash after another trip to my Cabin.

However, I did decide the stock stereo needed to go, so added a brand new Pioneer AVIC-NEX7100 with Android Auto. I got a super good deal ($free.99) on it, and so far it's pretty awesome. I got the Schoche dash kit, steering wheel control harness, JBL pass-through and everything. It works pretty great with Android, and of course did the video bypass mod so I can watch TV, put in directions, and do things while driving you usually can't.

    Added a TRD wallpaper

even tried out some video... psh. Terrible movie!

My most recent mod was inspired yet again by the Raptor. I'd never buy a Ford, but it's one sweet truck. I went ahead and added three LED lights for the Raptor grill light mod. I bought them from Oznium, and chose the flush-mount bolt LED lights. They literally bolt on like a screw, and are completely sealed. $20 and 30 minutes for truly excellent results. Great mod!

They're much brighter in the dark, and are on 24/7, even with the DRL.

We do fun things together... and I often have to let my girlfriend borrow her, as she doesn't like her 02 Tacoma Stepside anymore, but it's still a great truck!

I'll be updating as the year goes on with more pictures when I add my lift, or doing fun things like camping, hunting & fishing trips, ice fishing when the time comes, but that's all for now.

Changed my oil this weekend. It was hot as hell outside (only 113 but truck read higher) and halfway through I noticed O'Reilly Auto parts sold me used oil. Yes it was used. Mobil 1 Full Synthetic and the seal was broke and it was sludge black. I was shocked, and super mad. Sweating my ass off and almost done with my quick afternoon project.

Went back and they gave me a brand new jug extremely quick. Right on the spot. Then I finished her up. Next I plan to get a left, hopefully in the next month or so.
