It's all about finding deals, doing work yourself, not being in a hurry and you can save a bunch of money. I traded into the basic bones of my truck with a 4Runner that was worth $3k. @Justinogo scored a sweet first gen 4Runner with dual ARB's and all the regular fixins for $4k too. I think @slander spent $2k on his SAS not counting wheels and tires...

Things like this almost make me consider getting an old cherokee instead of an FJ80.

Trail wrenching sucks so bad...it's typically super sketchy and always a half assed fix that then becomes permanent.

I've got an FZJ80 for sale if you're looking :D Good candidate to make into a wheeler or a DD.

Cherokees are good to get for free-$500, hack the fenders off, put 33s on it and floor it evreywhere and throw away when you are done. I have a friend with a zj on tons and it's always trying to rip itself apart evrey wheeling trip.

PM me about the 80. I'm trying to make my Taco last until I can pass it off to whatever offspring I manage to crank out next year, so I'm looking for a Cruiser to beat on.
