So I have a 2011 DCSB TRD Sport with factory installed Sat. Radio. For a few months now the signal randomly goes away. Has this happened to anyone else? It can be fine and then shut down in the middle of a song in a wide open area(nothing to obstruct the reception).
Any help with this guys? Thanks

I dont have the factory sat radio through the stock radio, but I use the factory installed antenna hooked up to my Sirius radio. That happens to me every once in a while.

I always wonder how much the environment effects the signal. I also wonder about if its just a glitch on their end. Loss of signal they send out? I'm not much help, but it does happen to me once in a while.

    Does it happen a lot?

Yeah at least once daily. Almost around the same time too. I've lost signal all day before

All day doesn't sound normal for sure, but same time might just be a brief dead spot for your area from the satellite, maybe. :notsure:

I'm hoping its just a short in the wire or antenna issue. Something worth and easily fixable

when i lived in california and colorado, as long as i was not in a parking structure, i had perfect satelite radio reception. however, once i moved to massachusetts, i have driven through many dead spots where i cannot get reception. it only lasts for a few seconds, but i figure some areas just cant get good reception.

I never had problems the first two years I had the truck. Then this past year it's been doing it a lot. Sometimes it's like you say just a few seconds but others its a good while.
