i have had both xm and sirius and prefer sirius because of the signal here in the northwest and because of station selection, now that they have merged station selection doesnt matter. i wish i could take my gm equipped xm radio and pickup sirius stations on it tho. just my 2 cents.

why not give us ALL the channels? everyone is still paying for them wehter it be on XM or sirius anyways...why they gotta mess with my radio? they're still getting the same money...give me 500 satelite channels damnit!

OU812--try Faction on channel 52. it's a sk8r channel, but they kinda fill in the gap between Octane & Squizz.

52 is good, I flip to it when 48 Layla is on. For my commute in the afternoons. I have been enjoying AC/DC channel.

Sirius and XM better do something quick, their stock is at a dismal $0.17 a share and is pending a reverse stock split, furthermore they have a ton of dept and have a few payments coming up soon in early 2009. Credit is tight and things are getting tough...

Got to keep listening to Howard. Actually my wife bought it for me for that reason right when he first got on Sirius so I wouldn't miss it. lol I paid for the lifetime membership and it was well worth it. I love it and could never go back to regular radio again.

They're both the same now, unless you like MLB & NHL play by play then XM is your choice. I had XM prior to the merger had an issue with them not honoring a rebate so I cancelled them, even ignored their postcards to comeback for next to nothing, if I signed up for a year. I then went with Sirius and we'll it's not much better as far as programming but anyhow they are all the same now. so it really doesn't matter unless your from Canada as they are still seperate there.

I called in to cancel my subscription today cause it turns out you can't "just let your subscription run out".(In my case anyway) They kept charging my credit card; bast@#%$! Then he offered me 3 months for free. And to boot I got "talked" into another three months after that.(I'm such a sucker) I'm paying just under $50(canadian) for 3 months. What's it cost you guys?

Well, if they don't get their debt squared away soon they are going to have to file chapter 11. I really don't want to see that happen because I think it is a good product, not to mention I own a few shares. Too bad they are trading at $0.11 a share.

I like the XM channels I get with Directv, but I just can't bring myself to pay for radio... I did put in an aux. input to escape from the local Fm stations though.

Sirius Faces Debt Payment in Test of Its Viability

    By SARAH MCBRIDE

Sirius XM Satellite Radio Inc. is facing an important test of its viability this month: how it handles $174.6 million in debt coming due Feb. 17.

Questions over how the company can pay it, along with $750 million more in debt due later in the year, have been dogging the company's stock price for months. Trading around $3 a year ago, shares in recent weeks have been stuck in the 10 cent-to-12-cent range.

But even if the company solves its looming debt deadlines, it will have merely bought time to prove to the investment community that its business of paid subscription radio has legs. And the high-interest solutions it seems likely to find would transfer more of the company's value to debt holders and away from stockholders, likely dulling any post-refinancing zip to the share price.

Given the economic environment, "it's a long road back," says RBC Capital Markets analyst David Bank. "And it's not as simple as refinancing the debt."........

The company I work for just bought a 300 million dollars stake in Sirius/XM. Pure speculation but we might be starting to get in to the radio biz... I could see a DishNetwork TV/XM radio combo package.
