I have the TRD Sport without JBL it has the AM/SAT button on the head-end and the sat antenna.

I want to get XM radio - I have read all sorts of info on this- none of it actually conclusive. Has anyone got a recommendation ? I.E where can I get the proper information as what to buy in order to get my truck wired up with XM radio

    Any help would be welcome.

XM Sirius are going bankrupt. I was going to install it until I heard that little pearl. I would think that was a birdnest on the ground. I guess not. They may be getting some stimulus money. If they are still around in a year, I'll consider it.

I didn't mean to rain on the satelite parade. I think its great. I just would hate to buy another receiver and have it go dark. I had the stupid boom box and went through three roadies in my old truck. Plus the 16.00/month. I paid my part.

personally i wouldnt waste my money doing anything to the POS JBL stereo, first of all it cuts the bass and treble as you turn up the volume making it flat. they do this to prevent the speakers from distorting.
even a cheap aftermarket stereo will sound better and they make a dash kit that makes the install look almost factory.

for the money spent you can get a new Hu with xm

Actually there not, at least not yet. SiriusXM announced earlier this month that they had obtained the funding necessary to prevent them from having to file bankrupcy.
