Agreed. I listen to NPR or Pandora. I understand people wanting it for certain sports or of they travel in remotish locations, but with spotify, pandora, prime music and the iheart app I cant justify paying for it.

So it begins. Got an offer in the mail yesterday and a phone call today. Didn't answer the phone call and the offer in the mail was kind of crappy. They can do better. And if they don't it's back to I Heart Radio or maybe I'll look into Pandora.

Additional polite requests have fallen on deaf ears. Perhaps they should just post the name and address of who we have to kill to be left alone.:annoyed:

That's why I like someone's suggestion to demand a paper invoice and send a check.

My mother had a similar problem with AOL some years back. Silly them, she'd used a credit card that she didn't use for anything else and when they kept charging the card after she told them she wanted to cancel the service, she just called the credit card company and closed the account.

My BIL has a super deluxe subscription so he gave me one of his streams to use in my truck.

I don’t know if I’d pay for it, but I will listen to it more than terrestrial radio for music at least. I wish the Tacoma had the antenna to get all the stations though as there’s some in the higher levels I cannot get unless I use the app (my Mom has a single vehicle but the app as well so I borrow that).

The only time I don’t use it is when Madison is the DJ. She is unbearable with the signing and the over sharing.

I hate to admit it. I enjoy the small commercials with almost no dead zones were I have been so far. I think their prices are too much but if you get the discounts I will continue.

I had it on my 4Runner since 2015 but canceled it a few months ago when I replaced the head unit with an android one. They bugged me for a while but stopped. I put a 2GB drive with a large 128 bit mp3 collection on it which has a better selection than xm ever did. I don't miss it at all.

Maybe if they actually just played music instead of the idiot djs telling me their life story every 3 songs i might pay for it. Shut up and play the damn music. I dont care about what you are doing this weekend.

Nobody answered the earlier commenters question as to if unplugging the sirius attachment from the radio, then eliminates the screen menu option or not. I would love to know this! Of course, i would love to eliminate OTHERs too, such Iheart radio, etc! As others have mentioned, if you Do like Sirius [and I actually Do like it], but don't want to pay the high fees for it, you can easily get them down to $5 a month or $60 a year with autorenewal. But for me, I did not sign up for it after my initial 90day trial period expired after I bought the truck new. And yes, they hounded me to death via phone and snailmail, all offering the same thing. I finally started just talking about sex whenever they would call, in other words, once I realized it was Sirius calling, and after telling them multiple times that I did not want them calling me again, the next time they called, I just started talking as if they had called and asked to have sex. It was an obscene phone call in reverse! See they called ME, so by me then turning it around into a sex call, and ignoring them when they would say things like "I am not calling for sex, etc," I would just keep on talking and acknowledging them "saying" all the types of sex acts they wanted me to do to them, etc, and after a couple of phone calls where I did this, I have not received a call from them in months! Let me tell you, it feels REALLY GOOD to WIN by having THEM hang up on me! I have only received two snailmail offers from them in the last 8 months or so, and they were both offering the same $5 a month deal, which is still too much for me. Last fall, when I went on my cross country trip, I took advantage of an offer they had then, for $one dollar for 90 days, as I figured it would be good to have on the road. It actually was good because the signal never goes away as it does with local FM stations. But since I rarely take long trips, and really don't listen to the radio very often, I just don't think it is worth it to pay for Sirius. But if someone knows how to eliminate the option from the stock Entune radio, please post it here! Thanks!

I guess I wasn’t blatant enough. It’s a lame millennial thing to call everyone Karen’s. I’m not jumping on the bandwagon.

So now Tacoma world devolves into debates about female names. Cool.

I'm not sure where you have been during this pandemic. Karen is a term used for crazy people, no one is debating actual names.
