I'm having trouble with my satellite radio reception. The satellite reception occasionally quits. I get "Loading), and then "No Signal," but everything else works. I've had the head unit replaced once, last week due to this problem, and now the replacement is having the problem. I'm thinking the satellite antenna, or the cable at the antenna is the problem. Anyone else experience this and have a possible solution?

I hate the Toyota XM receiver. Mine will quit too, however it won't say loading or no signal. It will still be displaying the song and change the song when a new one comes on, just no sound. And it won't work again til I start the truck again.

Did you check the running of the antenna? Look at all of your pinch points, or where it could be getting cut off. That is the biggest problem that I see happening. Especially in trucks if people run the antennas out the 3rd brake light

Sun Outage issues, Starts this week and will last about a month. It was briefed by our Sat Ops guys this morning at our weekly staff meeting. I work at a satellite TV broadcasting company.

I have the same signal loss on my 2009 with factory XM stereo unit. It occurs mostly when driving in valleys or near the base of a mountain. But it cuts out more than other vehciles I have driven with factory satelite or people I know with after market units. It seems like maybe its a poor antenna?

Does anyone have any updated information on this issue? I am having the same problem on my 2011 Prerunner. Ive knoticed that when I park it in the sun on a 100+ degree day, after about 5 minutes the satellite radio cuts out and shows "no signal" after driving for about 20 minutes, 70% of the time the sat. radio will start playing again. When this condition occures, all other functions work on the radio unit. I'm thinking its an antenna issue b/c if I park with the truck facing west (antenna facing east and gets evening shade), the problem only occurs about 20% of the time. Try to explain this to your freindly service advisor.

This happens at least twice a day in my 2012 with Entune. For me it'll cut out during a song and give a static sound for a few seconds then kick back in. I've read from other '12 owners that it's very common. Sounds like it's always been an issue with our trucks. Crappy antenna? Maybe it's what imnluck says...it's just the way XM/Sirius is?
