    Here are some that im making this year....:D



    Alabama Fudge-Pecan Chewies

    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
    12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup chopped pecans
    60 pecan halves

    Pre-heat oven to 350. Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate and butter melt. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, flour, and chopped pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Press a pecan half into the center of each cookie. Bake for 7 minutes. (Do not overbake.) Remove cookies to wire racks to cool completely.


    Butterscotch Haystacks

    1 cup peanut butter
    1/2 package or 6 oz butterscotch morsels
    1 large can chow mein noodles

    Melt peanut butter and butterscotch together. Can be done on the stove top or in a microwave. Pour over noodles; mix well. Drop by tablespoon on wax paper; freeze for a couple of hours. May be stored in a loose fitting topped cookie jar.


    The Ultimate Sugar Cookie

    3/4 cup Golden Crisco or Butter-flavored Crisco (shortening)
    1 cup granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp vanilla
    2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1-1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    Coloured decorations or icing

    Cream Crisco, sugar, eggs and vanilla in large mixer bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until light and creamy. Cmbine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture, mixing on low speed until well blended. Cover dough and chill 1 hour, if desired, for easy rolling. Preheat oven to 375°F. Roll half of dough at a time. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness. Using a cookie cutter, cut in desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Roll leftover pieces. Sprinkle with coloured decorations or leave plain to decorate when cool. Bake at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges are light brown. (Time will vary with cookie size.) Cool slightly, then remove to cooling rack.


    Cornflake Wreath Cookies

    1/2 cup butter
    3 cups miniature marshmallows
    1/2 tsp almond extract
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    1 tsp green food color
    4 cups corn flakes
    red hot candies silver dragées

    Melt butter, add marshmallows, stirring until all marshmallows are melted. Add extracts and food coloring; stir until it is a uniform green color. When mixture is smooth, add corn flakes; mix well but gently so as not to crush the cornflakes. Form into wreath shapes on sheets of waxed paper, decorate with red cinnamon candies and silver dragées. Let cool.


    Mexican Wedding Cakes

    Makes about 48
    1/2 cup powdered sugar
    1 cup butter, softened
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 cups all-pupose flour
    1 cup finely chopped almonds or pecans
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    powdered sugar

    Pre-heat oven to 325 F. In a large bowl combine 1/2 cup powdered sugar, butter and vanilla. Blend well. Stir in flour, nuts and salt until dough holds together. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 15-20 minutes until set but not brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheets. Cool slightly and roll in powdered sugar. Cool completely and reroll in powdered sugar.



    Peanut Butter Oatmeal Drops

    Makes about 36
    1/2 cup butter
    2 cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 cup milk (or evaporated milk)
    pinch of salt
    1/2 cup peanut butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats

    Line two baking sheets with waxed paper. In a large heavy saucepan combine the butter, brown sugar, milk, and salt. Bring mixture to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Without stirring, let mixture boil for exactly 3 minutes. Immediately remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla, stirring until peanut butter has melted. Quickly stir in the oats, mix well. Working fast, drop mixture by tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets. Allow to cool and become firm, about 30 minutes. Makes 3-4 dozen cookies.


    Walnut Frosty Cookies

    2 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    Topping:
    1 cup chopped walnuts
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/4 cup sour cream

    Sift together dry ingredients. Cream brown sugar and butter. Add egg and vanilla. Cream again.
    Add dry ingredients. Mix till blended. Form into 1 inch balls, make a depression in center, place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Mix together topping ingredients. Place topping in depressions. Bake at 350F for 12-14 minutes.

    Ah, holiday baking. The delicious smells, the smiles as the kids decorate cookies, the powdered sugar smeared on your face and some unnamed dried syrup on your shirt that you can’t identify and the mountains of dirty dishes from eleven hours of baking that will sit there for two whole days because if you keep your flour covered butt in this kitchen ONE MORE SECOND, the kids will think you are a gingerbread man and begin to frost you.But it’s worth it…because is there anything better than a holiday cookie? How about a warm holiday cookie from the oven? How about a warm holiday cookie from the oven with peanut butter inside? BOOYAH! Didn’t see THAT one comin’, didja? Oh, you did? Ok, well I guess I put it in the title, but I digress. My youngest didn’t see it coming, the same kid who has been known to smuggle a peanut butter jar and a spoon into her bedroom, and she thought these were nirvana. So will you.

    Peanut Butter Filled Chocolate Cookies

    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 cup butter softened
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup peanut butter
    1 egg
    1 tablespoon milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
    1/2 cup peanut butter

    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. In a medium mixing bowl stir together flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda. In another mixing bowl, beat together butter, the 1/2 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, and the 1/4 cup peanut butter with an electric mixer until combined. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well. Beat in as much of the dry ingredients as you can with mixer. Stir in remaining dry ingredients by hand with a wooden spoon. I have a powerful Kitchen-Aid mega mixer which could mix cement so I used the mixer the entire time. Form chocolate dough into 32 balls about 1-1/4 inches in diameter.

    For peanut butter filling, in a medium mixing bowl combine powdered sugar and the remaining 1/2 cup peanut butter until smooth. Shape mixture into 32 (3/4-inch) balls. On a work surface, slightly flatten a chocolate dough ball and top with a peanut butter ball. Shape the chocolate dough over the peanut butter filling, completely covering the filling. Roll dough into a ball. Repeat with the remaining chocolate dough and peanut butter filling balls.

    Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake ‘em in for 8-10 minutes or until they’re just set and surface is slightly cracked. Let cookies stand for 1 minute. Transfer cookies to wire racks; cool. They will be slightly soft so don’t overbake ‘em unless you want to play ice hockey out front with them.

    You can pretty these up with a little drizzle of chocolate, but I had to get my flour covered butt out of the kitchen. They’re just as good without.

    This is the best recipe!

    Here is how to make my favorite Christmas Cookie recipe

    Christmas Cookie Ingredients:

    1 cup of water
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 cup of sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup of brown sugar
    lemon juice
    4 large eggs
    1 cup nuts
    2 cups of dried fruit
    1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila

    Sample the Cuervo to check quality.
    Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo
    again, to be sure it is of the highest
    quality, pour one level cup and drink.

    Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one
    cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.

    Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again.
    At this point it's best to make sure the
    Cuervo is still OK, try another cup ..
    just in case.

    Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2
    leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in
    the cup of dried fruit, Pick the
    frigging fruit off floor... Mix on the
    turner. If the fried druit gets stuck
    in the beaterers just pry it loose with
    a drewscriver. Sample the Cuervo to
    check for tonsisticity.

    Next, sift two cups of salt, or
    something. Who giveshz a sheet. Check
    the Jose Cuervo. Now shift the lemon
    juice and strain your nuts. Add one
    table. Add a spoon of sugar, or
    somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash
    the oven.

    Turn the cake tin 360 degrees
    and try not to fall over. Don't forget
    to beat off the turner. Finally, throw
    the bowl through the window, finish the
    Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the
    dishwasher.
