I DID! dude we had so much room on the trip! it rode fantastic! so quiet and smooth. definitely more luxurious than my Taco. but.. thats about where it ended. the parking, maneuvering, turning, etc was nowhere near the taco capabilities.. for obvious reasons.. the U-turns we made were embarrassing, parking to 5 points.. it definitely wouldnt fit in my garage.. lol

then the gas mileage.. granted we had at least 1k lbs of man meat in this thing.. plus our luggage and coolers full of booze.. we averaged about 13 mpg. now.. ive made this same trip in my Taco, and averaged like 18 IIRC. BUT.. we didnt have all the weight.

its a toss up man. maybe down the road.. if i ever tow anything.. but then again.. the taco with the blower can tow just fine. so yeah.. idk..

this thing was the exact model I would get tho. so it was a nice comparison. white, crew max, 4x4, with every option.

 

Yeah i drive like a grandpa, but when i do drive i little harder it's thirtsty haha

Josh what's the status on the Boss Leaf pack and how is it riding ?

Is it too firm, how does it ride, when you ordered them were the u-bolts included or were they a separate cost ?

well.. i removed one of the overloads since i was sitting higher than their claimed 2".. and now am getting some pretty bad negative arch.

other than that.. they ride great. I think if you left both overloads in, you would be good.

I need to figure out what im going to do about mine. either have them re-arched and add the 2nd overload back in, or something. they mentioned if i wanted to lower the ride height, to remove the 3rd or 4th leaf in the pack.

regardless.. kind of disappointed that I didnt get what i wanted right out of the box like they claim.. probably going to start up talks with them again about it actually. i shouldnt have to modify the pack or re-arch it to get it to their numbers.

 

I'm thinking on getting a set, did the u-bolts come with or were they an additional cost ?

 

umm.. ya know.. i cant remember.. i already longer u bolts so didnt really notice. I would just send em an email.

 

I just double checked their site and they are Not Included and will be an additional charge along with the shipping . . .
