I'm hoping to drive a 16 next week to see what you mean on power. But that interior is miles above a 15. You're still gonna want leather seats and more interior goodies in a 15.

It's obvious Josh is over the headache of having done all of the mods he has. The most common gripe he has had is that he went too far. We all agree his truck is badass, but if he can take what he loves and sell the rest.....

My 15 has great interior and I wasn't impressed when I sat on the 16.

I agree on saving money, doing what's right. But happiness is also a big part of this. It just seems to me that even though he loves and has sentiment towards his 09, those parts will be carried over and he will be happier. At least this is what I feel that Josh wants. I sat with him for 2 hours at a dealer and we've been texting for months about it.

This is well said. Anyone who mod's takes their DD too far and it causes stress at least once in their life. My boosted Civic was fun, but was in the shop every few weeks because the car wasn't made for 300+hp and it broke everything all the time. I just ended up getting sick of it and bought another car and a motorcycle.

I got so sick of saying "can't go out tonight, working on my car"

Every man still needs to have their toy, one way or another :)

its not the HP im concerned about.. the 16's have 297.. that doesnt mean jack if the torque isnt there to move the truck.. its a truck.. wish it had more..

its just sluggish for a truck.. might be the new tranny and gear ratios.. idk.. just wasnt impressed and wanted more.

this is true.. its been an ongoing debate.

you hit it on the head Jon.. its a battle of my sanity vs finances.. lol

My 08 started to have its issues and that DB just became more and more of an eye sore. Nothing I did made it go away. And then the thought came to buy a new one and take everything I love with me.
Best fucking decision I made. Lower payment, better interest rate, 100k warranty, no issues from the previous owner and its done right. My new build is fucking solid. I love this 15 so much.

I'm intrigued by the issue with the lack of power.... So I set up a test drive for later this afternoon. Not that I am even considering buying one, but I am certainly curious.

nice.. definitely let me know what you think.. it may very well be that i am just biased due to the S/C.. but ive driven countless N/A 4.0's and it still seemed just weak and gutless..

I just got a call from Right Toyota (they think I still have my 06 I bought from them) saying they have 16's and are doing some sort of program for Tacoma owners.. lol

    TEMPTATION.. EVERYWHERE!!

The climb to highway speeds is a little different isn't it?

oh absolutely.. when on the test drive i did some city driving as well as highway.. both are boring with the new 3.5.. getting on the freeway, and downshifting to a passing gear still wasn't anything to proud about either..
