I'm a fan of the Firestik Firefly. Thinner and more flexible than most fiberglass antennas and has the thumbscrew adjustment for tuning.

There are also springs with female threads on both ends so the long "double hex nut" isn't needed.

So the firefly over the firestik II huh? I have a 3' firestik II currently.

Ooooh nice! Ok. That would be perfect.

So... If I need to replace everything from the coax.. Out.. What all do I need? The spring (female threads), bottom coupler to attach coax?, and antenna..

Hoping I can get everything locally. Need it soon ya know. Maybe Sierra? Or just stick to Loves.

It looks like Firestik has that type of spring as part of a stud mount package (perfect for your current needs)

Firestick SS-34AH (heavy duty) or SS-34AM (medium duty) plus antenna of your choice (Firefly is available in 3' or 4' black, red, or white). What Love's has, I don't know.

Finished up the rear lights. Pretty sweet.. nice and beefy. Still iffy on the output.. I know it's because they are switchbacks.. and I can't have my cake and eat it too. So time will tell. If I find myself using one color more than the other, or needing more output.. Ill swap em out as needed.

 

I get 40% of any of KC lights, so let me know if you wana try some of theirs.

Cool. gonna give all these lights a go.. I think I'll end up being fine. Light is better than no light, even if its not the brightest, baddest, light on the market right now. Something will always come out that's better. Lol
