Yep. Baja clone. I cant justify name brand. Works great! Love this bar.

 

I could care less if it's name brand I've busted out a Chinese on from a limb and didn't feel bad since it wasn't 600$

 

exactly. I had to tear this one apart when I first got it.. due to a bad board. they sent out not one, but two replacements. New board in and zero issues since. no issues with leaking or any moisture. in fact.. when I was in there doing repairs.. i noticed the seals are VERY well done. they are actually molded seals, at every connection/seal/screw point.

most out there on Ebay have 3-5 year warranties too.

 

Still trying to figure out what to do regarding the Torque Converter. There's also the possibility it may not be the TC, but its the next part in line of this process of elimination. I have a few options..

Reman'd TC from Parts Geek - cheapest at $100-$150
Newest Toyota TC - proven and an upgrade, but expensive for OEM - $700
Upgraded TC from IPT - built for my truck, possibly slightly higher stall, but pricey as well - $600

The Reman'd will be the easiest and cheapest. It will also sting much less if it is in fact NOT the TC. The Toyota one is solid.. but man its hard to justify that price. The IPT might be cool to have a higher stall (if I decide to change from factory), and its rated for 700..

I'm still leaning towards the IPT TC. pair it with the IPT valve body upgrade, and MAYBE a higher stall.. should be nice. the higher stall is making it tough as well.

but.. then its clutch packs.. or something else I'll need to upgrade I'm sure.. smh. LOL

 

Why would you not do the IPT one?

 

$$$. Especially if I dont chabge the stall.. Then it's just an expensive replacement.. Not so much an upgrade.. Although it would still be one.
