I need to order the new Sim ASAP so I can get emissions out of the way. Registration is going to lapse regardless now. Oh well.

Im sure its all in my head, that and the colder air, but I swear it was running better yesterday with the Sim completely disconnected.

Went up and spent ours with @Aw9d and @Girlfriend. Got to see @snowtank and @mrs.snowtank too! A great time as always, thanks again for the hospitality guys!

Had an interesting trip up. Got hit by a snowstorm on the way up and traffic came to a stop heading up a pass. Vehicles ahead including a Big Rig were stuck and we there for about 30-45 minutes. Jumped out and helped as many people get going as I could. Ended up clearing a way for the convoy to continue on. It was snow the rest of the way in. Such an awesome start to a hopeful White Christmas.

Christmas Morning!











Decided to load up and hit a trail... us 4 in the Taco and no plan of attack, we ended up finding an awesome trail!




then the snow left and its ugly cousin the mud showed up..

The Coopers did great yet again.. Even in this section, which was the worst of the trail. I took about 4 tries at this washed out portion of the trail. I couldnt climb out of the ruts to make it around the large washed out portion. I eventually got my front two out of the ruts and on the high side on the right, scoped it out, and gently stepped the rear down into the wash out. Then just crab walked all the way down and kept the truck from fully sliding in. Had to do the same thing again just past this obstacle.

It was definitely a new one for me, but the grip on these tires is just awesome and give me so much more confidence. I hesitated a few times before finally convincing myself to try it. I did not want to get us 4 stuck out there. Granted, I have traction ramps, shovel, etc. so we could of made it out I'm sure. It was some thick, soupy mud, that's for sure.






$20 later at the car wash... its decent. lol

 

Man that is some awesome scenery. Wow. That's a Christmas to remember.

 

Thanks Man! It was the wife's first Christmas in the snow as well. She was loving it.

 

I'm just in awe. Mine, however good, was just the same tradition. I might have to do something more adventurous like this, next year. In a different vehicle than my truck though. Doesn't handle to well off-road anymore.

 

It was definitely new for us too. We usually do the family thing, or just something small by ourselves at home, but this was much more fun! The snow makes it real special.
