If they are pretty pricey I would keep working on it.

So assuming its the flare portion that's not fitting properly, I'm thinking I could take a fine file, and knock down the flare a little bit?

That would of helped some.. But not possible.

I got the bracket off, can get wrenches in there, etc.. Just these fittings... :annoyed:

Just stay away from the inside of the flare, but that sounds like a good idea coming from someone who has a fresh braaaiinnnn

Maybe.... take the retaining clip off to allow the braided line to rotate in the mount bolted to the truck, and see if you cant 'thread' the braided lines onto the flare if it is truly too big to slide past? if this even makes sense lol

Lolol. Cool, was thinking just the outside perimeter just a tiny bit.

Yes!, because I tried it. :pout: I think I just need to take more time lining them up, plus cleaning them up a bit and prepping them more.

If I just can't get them, ill go back to my factory ones. I can't justify the price and work of getting new hard lines.

your first move is where I would start then... try removing small amounts of metal around the outside diameter of the flare and try your luck

Here's my problem. The threaded portion doesn't seem to fit into the new line.

Got one! 3 more to go. Lol

The one pictured above is a PITA. Doesnt seem to "snap" in so I cant engage the threads. I got the left one (driver rear) on that axle bracket connected.

Yeah. I think we found the culprit tho. The threaded ends are flared out enough to not go into the new lines... Most likely due to over tightening like mentioned previously.

Josh do you have a die that you could chase the threads on that fitting?

    Not here with me.

Gonna run to the dealer and get the two hardlines that run from the top above the axle, to the middle of the truck.

More work, but gets it done. I have to have this thing going by tonight.

Front is all done, just need to replace these hardlines, attach rear lines (bottom on the axle are all done) and bleed the brakes.

Do you happen to know the thread pitch on the hardline nut? I'm finding things that say M10x1.. But also M12x1.
