Thanks bro! Same to you! Happy New year!

Also.. a huge shout-out to @racebug68 (Travis) and @BillDaCat8 (Jake) for the help today installing my 2.6 pulley... great to meet you guys and I really appreciate today. I owe ya after all that.

    What.. a cluster. Hahaha.

The 2.8 did not want to part ways with the shaft. It was seized so badly, the puller was deforming the backside of the pulley. We tried heat, lube, etc and finally ended up just taking a cutoff to it. Jake was like a surgeon and made a few cuts to help relieve any tension. With one last attempt and using the puller.. it Popped.

The rest went pretty smoothly and we cut the snout then installed the hub and pulley. Drove it back home with no issues on the drive.. and boost is up from my lame ass consistent 5/flash 6... To a consistent 8/flash 9. Definitely happy with the gains and if my pulley wasn't being a pita... I'd say the entire process is really quick and easy.. especially for the payoff. Still burying my AEM afr at 10... But after talking with Jake a bit.. I think I'm going to try moving my sensor to my Y-pipe.. see what happens.

Again.. huge thanks to @racebug68 and @BillDaCat8.. my truck always seems to put up a fight.. and doesn't care who's involved.. so I apologize for that inconvenience.

Initially, we were working between the arms of the puller. Had to be super careful not to beat up the shaft or damage the puller. We were just trying to weaken its hold a bit. There was huge tension on it and we were hoping it’d pop. Finally, we decided to remove the gear puller and just get after it from three sides working the grooves we’d already started. Then, we slipped the puller back on and went at it again. FINALLY it let go and we cranked it off. This was a stealth pulley. Had been on there for something like 100k miles. By the looks of things, IMO, it was pressed on dry.
I’ve done four of these things now. This was by far the stickiest one.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
Was good to meet you, and yeah, that pulley was the queen bitch of all the head scratching 'holy shit what do we do from here?' jobs... LOL. Literally everything else is easy compared to that!

Glad mine didn't put up a fight like yours, although thanks to Jake's quick thinking we solved my hiccup easily. I need to measure and be sure to tell the rest of the magnuson folks about the depth of cut for installing the quick change hub properly deep enough onto the shaft.

And Josh - I never saw this thread yet... but damn... 463 pages???!!! WTF, I will never know what you all were discussing... not even gonna start reading this

 @racebug68 don't worry.. You're not missing much. Most of it is just years of BS and man love. I haven't been keeping up with this thread recently either. The OP is still the best place.. I try to keep that updated as best I can.

 glad it worked out.. but definitely a WTH moment.

Bit of an update.. staying busy with the new job and new opportunities, so havent been able to check in on my TW fam as much. :pout: helps the wallet tho!

Did a spontaneous trip out to run Upper and Lower Terminator yesterday. What a trail! by far the most difficult and challenging trail I've ran in the truck. It did great though and really surprised me.. besides the fact I was on the smallest tire there. Definitely made me want to go to 34's for sure now. Bumpers are still "meh" on my list.. I'll run it until I dont have any bumpers left.. just like my factory skids, that took quite a beating on this trip.. but they worked, and I'm a big proponent of "dont fix whats not broken" great day with great people as usual. thanks for the help guys!

oh, and this happened on the way out to the trail..
(FYI... Co-pilot took the picture, and my speedo is off, but we were running a tad late too.. :burnrubber:)

also made some changes to the front end awhile ago..

ditched all of my HID and projectors setup. wanted something more simplistic and easy to replace if needed. Plus.. as much as I wanted to build another set of custom projectors.. and had the parts waiting.. I couldnt bring myself to spend all that time and money to have them scratched and trashed on the next wheeling trip (which these already did from the above trip to Terminators lol) Happy with the output. yellow fogs with factory bulbs, and black housing headlights with Jumper's Amber turn signal, white parking lights, and then added eyelids.. finally. been on my mod list since I first joined T-Dubs. lol For the headlight bulbs, I went with a standalone harness to provide 12v power to the 100w H4's I picked up. definitely a good upgrade if anyone wants to stick to Halogens.

Finally filled mt ATC tool roll up as well.. and stuffed some more tools in the Plano. blown away with how much I could fit in there. I have basically all hand tools, plus some, covered.

thats about it.. still have some things coming in the future.. Gonna try and keep this more updated again.

    Hah!! Seriously can't even tell!

Thanks a bunch! She's come a long way that's for sure. Cleaned the MAF sensor and throttle body and put in some new spark plugs. Trucks running like a top with a whopping 29k On her :D

So impressed with Billy's work I ordered a front hybrid bumper a couple weeks ago.

It's got a few custom touches and may take a bit before it's in TX but I'm willing to wait as always.

Just going to freshen up the front suspension (nothing fancy) and call it done lol.

It took me a while to catch back up on this thread... you glossed over the "wheel fix" how did they fix it? Now that you pointed out that my "matching spare" was not matching I worry about these things :goingcrazy:

nah, it'll be cool man. extra protection is always a good thing.. lol

oh yeah! I finally got a chance to take it in to a local place that fixed cracked and damaged wheels. I showed him, talked it over, and he said he couldnt guarantee anything, or how long it would last, if I did smack it on a rock, mob too hard, etc. Told him I was willing to take the chance, he welded it up.. I had it mounted and been running it for about 4 months now. no issues!
