Photo dump and breakdown from the 2500+ mile road trip @Milota95 and I did up to Carson City and back over Memorial Day. it was a total of 9 days. This was all new and uncharted territory for both of us. We had no real plans or schedule besides going to help one of my long time childhood friends slap some goodies on his new to him 2000 4Runner. Unfortunately.. I dislocated my shoulder on Day 1.. leaving Q to handle almost all of the work himself. He is a machine.. and a true friend. I cant thank him enough.

We drove up to Show Low Friday for a camp trip over the weekend. Sunday morning we left camp and drove to Vegas. Made it there around 8 or 9 PM and cruised the strip, then decided to hit the road and cover more ground since it was so busy being Memorial Day. We needed to be in Carson that Monday morning, so we drove through the night, stopped at some spots to check some stuff out, and arrived around 4am. We slept for a few hours, got up, and tackled the suspension install. Kings all around. OME coils in the rear. MCM fab UCAs. FN pro wheels, and Toyo ATII's. We hit up downtown Carson that night for some Roulette to celebrate. Tuesday morning it went in for an alignment, we installed the Smittybilt RTT, loaded up, and went on a shakedown run/camp trip. Explored the Sierra Nevada's Tuesday and Wednesday and checked out Lake Tahoe. Holy Hell is it spectacular. I havent seen water that blue and clear since Crater Lake in Oregon.. or the Ocean in St Lucia when we got married. Ended up camping up off Kings Canyon Rd, just west of Lake Tahoe in the mountains. Absolutely beautiful up there. Will definitely be going back, especially since my buddy lives up there, and we found a trail that goes from behind his house, up and over the mountains to Lake Tahoe. Its perfect. From there we went our separate ways, and continued our adventure. Took off south on the 395 along the Sierra Nevada's. Unfortunately, all the passes were still closed for winter, but at least we were able to cruise and see Mammoth, Yosemite, etc from afar. Camped around some hot springs outside Mammoth Lakes and did some night-time exploring around 11pm. Found camp and woke up to amazing views. We then decided to trade the hot springs for snow and went across the valley up into the base of Bloody Mountain. We took a trail and ended up on the top of Convict Lake, which was just as clear and blue as Lake Tahoe. Q went on some sledding runs, and I took in the views.. It was such a hilarious and great afternoon. From there we continued south, and at this point we were trying to work out a plan to get @The Fluffer to fly into Vegas, pick him up, and spend the weekend in Vegas, and have him ride back with us. We cruised from Mammoth Lakes to Vegas, cut over at Lone Pine, and through Death Valley. I wanted to check it out, since I had never been through there. We dropped in and took it all the way through Death Valley Junction and out to Pahrump. From Pahrump, we headed up Mt Charleston, on the backside of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation... We had no idea, as it was about 10pm when we started getting into the rougher section of the trail. We ended up finding camp near a stream up in the mountains, just off the trail. The next morning we woke to hikers.. lol. Once we got to the end of the trail, it dumped us out right at the trailhead parking lot.. loaded with hikers. We had no idea it went over the mountain range, and the hikers were shocked when they saw us coming down, asking "did you guys come from the other side??". It turned out to be a great and decently technical 4wd trail. Unfortunately, I didnt get any pictures, and Q was walking and spotting since it was pitch dark. Aired down and just worked our way through. Fun trail for sure! Got out of all that, and headed to another Peak to kill some time until Andrew's flight landed. Found another cool trail that took us to some nice scenery and lookouts over Vegas. Sunset came around and we headed back down to Vegas to pick up Andrew, and start our weekend of Shenanigans. Spent the weekend playing Roulette and making awesome memories. Drove back home Sunday.

    In order of travels/description..

Yeah too much time off already in July. Still trying to decide where we're going for our anniversary. I'm thinking we'll cruise up to Colorado somewhere and camp for a few days.

I did not... I had my back spacing numbers confused with 2nd gen taco. I need a negative offset with my truck to run 33" tires and mud terrains without spacers.. I refuse to run spacers after loosing a wheel two years back.

Some maintenance and misc projects this weekend. Oil change plus add the new Fumoto valve. clean the filter, MAF, throttle body, solder my temp gauge so it works again, fix some lighting, etc.

Also think my head gasket is starting to go, so looking at doing that and some other maintenance items since it'll be torn apart. I'd like to send the blower off for a rebuild at the same time, then slap it all back in with the HP Tuner and new catless Ypipe and let er rip!

Need to pull the coilovers and rear shocks for a rebuild as well. *cough* @05TacoRunner you still offering your services? I'd love to pull these off the truck and let you do your magic... and stuff some crisp bills in that waistband of yours.

once its back to how I want it.. then I can finally get the exterior and interior fully detailed. it needs it bad! and maybe finally get my leather seats, armrests, center console, and steering wheel done.

trying to show this thing some love again.

Seein some white smoke under heavy acceleration from the exhaust. I just finished an oil change, checked and cleaned the oil catch can, cleaned the air filter, MAF, and throttle body. added my Fumoto valve, fixed some misc leaks, and took it for a spin. runs great.. but I am down to 8-9 PSI of boost. might be the hot temps.. or another vacuum leak.

I will definitely keep that in mind man! it would be much easier since you are closer, that's for sure.

thanks. They were on my list of maintenance items. since they are such a pain to get to and check with the blower.. If I do anything, it will be to replace them. I'm thinking I will just do a full tune up at that time. plugs, head gasket, etc.

 for diagnosis. :fingerscrossed: It is not the head gaskets.

You can also pop the cap of the overflow reservoir. Have you girlfriend rev it up pretty good, and watch for bubbles. If they come out faster as the revs climb, there is your easiest obvious answer.
